Rumors are flying around that Tom Holland and Zendaya could be engaged after eagle-eyed viewers spotted a diamond ring during the Golden Globes.
The 28-year-old actress, nominated for her role in Challengers, may have had more than one reason to celebrate at the star-studded event.
Clad in a stunning burnt tangerine Louis Vuitton gown and debuting a chic bob haircut, Zendaya's fashion choices were widely praised.
However, it was the dazzling solitaire diamond on her ring finger that truly captured attention.
The ring, reportedly valued at $500,000, sparked a flurry of speculation about whether her longtime partner and Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland had proposed. Holland was notably absent from the event.
A fan noted: "So is Zendaya engaged? I’ve checked previous pictures of her on red carpets and she’s never worn a ring on her wedding finger until now."
Adding fuel to the rumors, eagle-eyed fans spotted what appeared to be a small tattoo of the letter “T” near Zendaya’s left ribcage.
One fan tweeted: “Zendaya showing off a supposed engagement ring and a ‘T’ tattoo wasn’t on my Golden Globes bingo card, but I’m loving it.”
The ring, featuring a sizable diamond on a simple yellow gold band, has been compared to engagement ring designs by London-based jeweler Jessica McCormack.
In September, McCormack shared a photo of a similar design described as an east-west cushion ring.
Jeweler Laura Taylor of Lorel Diamonds estimated the piece's value at around $500,000, telling the Daily Mail: “The ring itself features a sizable diamond, likely in the 5-6 carat range, set on a simple yellow gold band.”
The rumors arrive as Tom Holland continues to express his desire for a private life and future family.
Speaking to Men’s Health last week, Holland said: “When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore. Golf and dad - and I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”
Holland has long emphasized the importance of privacy in his relationship with Zendaya.
On Jay Shetty’s podcast in 2022, he stated: “My relationship is the thing I keep most sacred. I don’t talk about it. I try my best to keep it as private as possible.”
He added: “We both feel like that is the healthiest way for us to move on as a couple, so I do try to keep as removed from Hollywood as possible.”
