The Vermont ice cream company revealed the exact details behind the recipe which requires a mere seven ingredients to make.
Check out the simple step-by-step cookie dough recipe below:This is exactly what you'll need to make your own cookie dough:
- 8 tbsp. unsalted butter (1 stick), room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tbsp. heavy cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. kosher salt
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup chocolate chips
So, without further ado, here's a simple breakdown of all the steps featured in the video above.
- Firstly, you're going to have to heat-treat your flour. This is what will make it safe to eat and you can do so by microwaving it to 165°F throughout, or puting it in the oven."Then stir it into your edible cookie dough recipe as usual," the recipe reads. "Spread the flour out on a rimmed baking sheet and bake it in a preheated oven at 300°F in 2-minute intervals, checking the temperature after each interval until it reaches 165°F throughout."
- Afterward, you must beat your butter and sugar "until light and fluffy."
- Mix in your vanilla, cream, and salt and then add your flour before mixing it again.
- "Fold in the chocolate chips."
- Then your cookie dough is ready to serve!
