A bride demanded a full refund after she discovered that her groom had slept with the wedding photographer - yikes.

Being faithful in a relationship is arguably the most important thing - so a partner cheating is the ultimate betrayal that is difficult to work through.

What would add another layer on top of that, is a partner cheating right after a marriage... with the wedding photographer.

One woman found herself in this exact situation and it has been detailed on Reddit by the colleague of the woman accused of being involved in the affair.

Dubbing himself "Wedding Dude", the photographer wrote: "Earlier this summer I shot a wedding. My typical second shooter couldn't make it, so I found someone else online who I felt did good work."

The wedding photography business proceeded smoothly, with the couple receiving their meticulously edited photographs as agreed. Nevertheless, the unexpected turn of events was relayed when Wedding Dude received an email from the bride, demanding a refund.

The photographer he had enlisted as a second shooter had engaged in an affair with the groom after the wedding, and she even provided incriminating images from the husband's phone to substantiate the claim.

He questioned, "I haven't responded yet, but what's the best thing to do here? She hired me for a job and the job was completed and the product was delivered." He further likened the situation to "a professional dog walker who walked a client's dog, then came back and shot it later."

Despite sympathizing with the bride, he grappled with the predicament of returning a substantial sum for his services. The photographer being an independent contractor rather than an employee further complicated the matter.

People flooded the comments to offer their thoughts, as one person advised: "Tell them you are sorry to hear that but there isn’t a way for you to refund for a service that has been completed per your contract. The second shooter is a contractor who I will not work with again but she is not directly involved with my business. I can not refund you because something unfortunate happened that I had no control over."

A second added: "This sounds harsh, but her husband was going to cheat on her regardless of who your second shooter was. It’s not your fault that she married him."

A third said: "This happened after the wedding, correct? If so, it has nothing to do with you or the service your business provided."

It's a tricky situation, and the biggest victim here is of course the bride who was cheated on - but does the photographer have an obligation to offer a refund?
