A woman who has spent over $50,000 on tattoos, piercings, and a range of other body modifications has revealed to what she looked like before.
Most recently, Lina L. - who goes by the name Cigno on Instagram - underwent a subdermal horn modification in an effort to give her horns on her head.
Explaining the reason behind the choice to have horns, Lina told her 81,000+ Instagram followers: "This is such an important step for me if not one of the most important to become my freakiest self.
"Reaching this level of fearlessness and bravery - letting go of any ‘you shouldn’t do this’, ignoring negativity from others as well as hate - just ‘simply be’ is the most freeing state of mind - makes me so damn happy."
However, despite being on a quest to look like a "city cyborg", Lina - who lives in the Bay Area in San Francisco - has also revealed to her fans that there was a time where she looked like any other person walking down the street.
Sharing the drastically different images of her younger self on Instagram, Lina captioned the post:
"My best friend was so lovely to surprise me with old photographs from before I moved abroad. Please enjoy. And never forget you don’t have to accept the way you are - don’t get comfortable with something that doesn’t make you happy - always believe that change is possible."
And Lina's followers couldn't have been more supportive, with one commenter revealing that she looks "way better than a blank canvas".

Another commenter wrote: "You certainly developed! So good for you! You look amazing!"

Others praised Lina's bravery to accept who she is, with one commenter writing: "If there's anything worthy in this life, [it] is being able to accept yourself as you are."

Despite already proudly flaunting over 100 tattoos, Lina - originally from Germany - now hopes to undergo a complete tattoo bodysuit.
In addition, she has told her followers that she also wants to undergo procedures to have her tongue forked and ears pointed.
In another post, Lina further explained her decision to transform her body, writing: "My dad’s sudden death this year encouraged me even more to do what truly makes me happy, I decided to not go back into the corporate world and I decided to devote my time to establish myself as a model and artist.
"This goes to all of you out there: life is too short and fragile to stay stuck in a situation that doesn’t fulfill you. You can do it! It’s not easy but you can! Do it for yourself! Love you!"
