A DoorDash driver had a witty response for an empty-handed customer after he delivered her order to the wrong address.
When ordering food for delivery, there's always a chance that your order doesn’t get delivered to the right address.
One woman named Hannah ran into this exact problem, as she expected to open her door and see her delicious meal, but instead came across an empty doorstep.
However, her delivery misfortune didn’t stop there, as her Dasher proceeded to text her something that stunned both her and the internet.
Watch Hannah's TikTok below:In a video posted on her TikTok account - which goes by the handle @hannahhollyla - Hannah showed screengrabs between her and her Dasher, who is named Priti.
After not receiving her delivery order, the TikToker texted Priti: "I did not receive my food." The Dasher then tried to assure Hannah that her order was there, writing: "Check the door in front of you… It’s there I promise."
However, Priti realized that they made a mistake, and instead of arranging a re-delivery, they asked Hannah to walk next door to retrieve her food, saying: "It’s not a big deal, mistakes happen. Just go walk and you will see it."
The woman continued their conversation, telling the Dasher about the correct address the food should have been delivered. She explained that he actually left her order in the next neighborhood and not next door.
The driver then reiterated that they "didn't steal the food" to Hannah - who wasn't pleased that she had "spent a ton of money" on a meal she didn't get. She replied that she understood that they didn't steal her food, but still noted that they had delivered it to the wrong place.
"I really don’t know why this happened to you… I wish I could help," the Dasher continued to write. "I delivered it to where the GPS told me to deliver it to."
They then gave Hannah a cheeky response to probably lighten up the mood, saying: "Life isn’t 100%… Some days aren’t for you. It’s part of life," before apologizing: "Again, I’m sorry."
The driver's response left many viewers in Hannah's comment section divided.
One person pointed out that Priti was "gaslighting" her while another said: "'I really [don't] know why this happened to you :(' as they deliver it to the wrong address has me cryingggg."
Others shared their similar experiences, saying: "Had this exact conversation with a shipping company the other day. I told them the picture wasn’t my house and they pretty much said, 'Well go look for it.'"
"I literally had one yell at me claiming that my apartment didn’t exist and then said I had the wrong number as the address, even when I didn’t," someone else added.
Meanwhile, a few other users found the situation rather funny, as they quoted what the Dasher had texted Hannah and added extra commentary. "'I really don’t know why this happened to you' is the funniest response of all time," one user penned.
A second person said: "No cause I’m legit gonna do this if I miss a deadline at work. 'Life isn’t 100%. It’s part of life sorry,'" while a third remarked: "I’m wheezing this is so damn funny."
Although Hannah never received her delivery order from Priti, she didn’t take it too personally as she wrote in her comments section: "I can’t be mad, he was so funny!"
