A delivery driver has gone viral on social media this week after leaving a note for a non-tipper to remind them he doesn't work "for free."
According to Insider, the note was shared in a video uploaded to TikTok by user @frenchfrythug, who works as a delivery driver for DoorDash. The video has since been removed from the platform.
The DoorDash worker in question claims that he has worked for the food-delivery app since December, but that he was outraged when one customer called "Amy" repeatedly declined to tip him for his services.
Check out another of his customer-shaming videos:In order to "make a statement," @frenchfrythug left an angry note to Amy which read:
"If you can't afford to tip then you should go pick it up yourself. Who do you think you are to order food and have someone come and bring it to your door for FREE? FOR FREE? [sic]"
Enclosing his account name on the digital payment service Venmo, he added: "I just drove my personal car to your house to deliver your food for fun? Naw not today. You can right your wrongs below."
His video on the subject of no-tippers clearly resonated with other TikTok users, accruing over 2.2 million views, 513,000 reactions, and a further 6,600 comments as of the time of writing.

For example, one person wrote: "Normalize holding people accountable for their assumed entitlement."

Another commented: "She wasn't going to tip anyways on her $3 order. Too many Danielles out there."

A third added: "One time I got a message that said: 'hurry up, I don't want my food cold.' Lemme tell you... some of the best Taco Bell I've ever had."
Commenting on the controversy, a spokesperson for Doordash told the above publication: "This behavior is clearly inappropriate and has no place on the DoorDash platform. We are looking into this incident and will take appropriate action."
So, does this delivery driver have a point? Or is he overreacting to something that's no big deal? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
