Fair and fiery-haired folk - your country needs YOU to look as sexy as possible for a new and important mission! Pioneered by ginger advocate Thomas Knights, the Red Hot project is on a quest to change the popular perception of redheads - a quest for which you could be on the front line.
In a plea to “rebrand the ginger male stereotype”, Thomas Knights’ campaign is determined to turn gingerness into a desirable trait. The strategy has many elements, ranging from fundraising, to increasing diversity, to encouraging sexy gingers to get their kit off.

According to the organisation’s website:
“Red Hot is the brain-child of photographer Thomas Knights, a photography campaign renowned for pushing boundaries and creating dialogue in the ever-changing fashion industry while raising funds for good causes.
“Internationally acclaimed as a ‘global movement’, Red Hot began in 2013 and has since toured the world and gained unprecedented fame and recognition.”

Beyond tongue-in-cheek calendars, Red Hot has also raised £60,000 for various charities and good causes including The Diana Award and the Terrence Higgins Trust, as well as advocated for anti-bullying and diversity movements around the world.
This year, the organisation’s much-celebrated calendar will be produced in partnership with testicular cancer charity “It’s In The Bag”. Shoots are scheduled to take place from 22-24th August at a central London location.

Red Hot has also revealed that it will be throwing its weight behind Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” charity - a foundation aimed at spreading and fostering kindness and empowerment in the artistic community. If that isn’t a worthy enough reason to take your clothes off, you might as well never be naked again.

Now in its seventh year, the team behind the "Red Hot" calendar are continuing their mission to "rebrand the ginger male stereotype".
They are currently on the lookout for 12 male models with ginger hair (and pubes) to pose for 2020's edition of the provocative calendar - entirely in the nude, naturally.
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B0Q8CC_H9JN/]]
"There are very few taboos left in the world. Somehow ginger pubic hair is still one of them," Thomas Knights, founder and photographer for Red Hot, explained. "It’s so rare that a lot of people have never seen it, they might go through their whole life never seeing it."
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B0WD0E7HLam/]]
Knights continued: "Being born ginger, you are immediately part of the world’s smallest minority. This comes with a unique set of challenges but inevitably you learn to accept your difference and then value it."
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B0Oc3q4nOxB/]]
He added: "What was once the thing you liked the least about yourself growing up, becomes the main part of your identity; it becomes your calling card. You end up loving being different, standing out and getting noticed. What was your perceived weakness, becomes your strength. Once you own your difference everything changes and you become unstoppable."

As raunchy as the calendar may sound, it's actually for charity. Red Hot raises money for Testicular Cancer Awareness through the Movember Foundation - a worthy cause considering testicular cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in young men in the United Kingdom.
"As we enter a new decade, it's time for Red Hot European Boys to roar into action," the makers of the calendar said.

If you're interested in applying, the website says: "To enter our 'Red Hot European Boys' model search, submit a couple of images of yourself in the Red Hot underwear in a message to our Instagram page."
The shoot is set to take place in London on August 17.

The Red Hot calendar is on the hunt for red-headed men to post naked for their upcoming 2022 edition.
Yes, the world's only ginger-dedicated full-frontal male calendar is back for its ninth year, and it looking for six models to be featured in next year's calendar.
According to Red Hot's Kickstarter, the calendar promises "12 months of iconic images set at The Red Hot Motel, a paradise full of hot ginger guys." The images will be captured by fashion photographer and film director Thomas Knights - however, he's still 6 models short.
The calendar's campaign reads: "We are looking for SIX more ginger guys to join our current lineup for the full-frontal 2022 calendar.
"Step forward the boldest individuals with an awesome personality to match and of course, naturally iconic red hair."
The theme of the new calendar is a 1970s hotel, with the description reading:
"Our kind and welcoming staff are happy to be at your disposal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to ensure all your needs are taken care of. Craving a tasty meal? Or perhaps you need a special package delivered to your room? Our joyful bellboy is only a phone call away, ready to serve you."
If you feel like you're a hot ginger guy who wants to get his kit off and rub shoulders with famous models (such as Dermot Watchorn, Edward Harber, and Beach Boy Craig) and industry newcomers, you can apply HERE.
Aspiring models must be free to shoot in London on August 31.
And it is all for a good cause, as the calendar is being produced to raise funds in the fight against testicular cancer.
The 2022 Red Hot calendar promised to be an "oasis of red hair and sculpted bodies", so if you don't want to miss out, you can support the Kickstarter campaign here. A pledge of just £25 will result in you getting a copy of the calendar before everybody else.
"[This] year's Kickstarter is expected to be the most successful campaign in Red Hot's 9-year history, surpassing the success of their previous calendar, "Super Gingers 2022", which reached its target goal in just two days," Knights writes on the Kickstarter page.
As of this writing, over £20,500 has been pledged for the project.

Are you a ginger male that would happily describe themselves as "red hot"? Do you enjoy frolicking around on the beach with other good looking, red-headed males in tight Speedos? Can you see yourself being the freckly face of October? If so, you may want to keep reading.
The Red Hot European Boys 2020 calendar is on the lookout for new models to feature in their upcoming release - all you need to be is a redheaded, good looking male.
Check out footage from their recent steamy shoot. Could this be you?

The Red Hot team consists of photographer Thomas Knights and art director Elliott James Frieze, and after spending countless hours sifting through thousands of submissions to find the sexiest redheaded males Europe has to offer, six were chosen - meaning they still need six more to fill the calendar.
Now, you may be reading this thinking that you don't stand a chance of being selected to be one of the "12 mouth-watering redheads" featured, but according to WorldAtlas.com, approximately 2% of people on Earth are naturally red-headed - so the odds are actually in your favour!
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BwcITHqgowu/]]
As well as keeping users organised with the standard months and dates, the calendar will also feature "non-explicit nudity", "gorgeous bodies", "handsome faces", and "beach bums". Just what we all need to view when we're booking our upcoming dentist appointments.
The company insists that all potential candidates are natural gingers and boast an "athletic" body. But don't think you'll just be selected just because you've got firey red hair and chiseled abs, because Red Hot are also looking for models who possess "cheeky personalities" as well.
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BwhTyGDAbpB/]]
So, if you think you tick all these boxes, why not submit a few cheeky photos of yourself wearing Red Hot’s stylish underwear to their Instagram account?
And if you are one of the lucky boys to be selected, you could be jetting off to the Mediterranean island of Ibiza for a steamy photo shoot on the beach. (Just make sure you pack your factor 50).

The team's first art book, the Red Hot 100, launched all the way back in 2014, and raised over £10,000 ($12,900) for charity, which is proof that these gorgeous ginger guys not only have a fanbase but a kind heart, too.
But the boys need all the help they can get, so be sure to check out their Kickstarter and maybe donate to this worthy cause!

I always tell people, "I'm not a ginger, I'm strawberry blonde!" Let's face it, it's not easy being a redhead. Flaming red hair and constellations of freckles often make people targets for bullying. Like Eric Cartman, trolls will taunt them, claiming they "have no souls!" And it's not just kids. In the UK, one teacher told a redheaded student to dye her hair because 'orange isn't a natural color.'
However, life is getting better for gingers. In pop culture, they're popping up everywhere, like freckles on their skin when they're out in the sun for five minutes. There's iconic characters like Ron Weasely, singers like Ed Sheerhan, movie stars like Bryce Dallas Howard, Amy Adams and Jessica Chastain. And some people have taken action to promote acceptance. After getting bullied for his orange hair, Derek Forge created Kiss A Ginger Day, encouraging everyone to steal a kiss from those "kissed by fire." (It’s on January 12, so mark your calendar!)

For the past six years, the Red Hot project has worked to transform the image of redheads in society. After all, gingers can be sexy - why do you think Meghan Markle married Prince Harry? For their new calendar, Red Hot American Boys, they found the twelve hottest "ginger jocks" in the United States. If you browse their Instagram page, you can see the redheaded adonnises in all their glory. Eat your heart out, Ron Weasley.
But that's not all - they're also throwing the world's biggest 'ginger party.' you happen to live in London. The exclusive house party takes place in London, at the L’Escagot members club in SoHo, on October 25. Red Hot describes the event as "an American style house party full of the sexiest ginger men on the planet in a hazy maze of secret rooms, superstar DJ’s, peep shows and famous faces."

There are a limited amount of regular tickets for £20 ($26). However, if you have ginger fever, and a lot of disposable income, you can upgrade to a VIP package, which includes dinner: "VIP tickets include: 1 x Dinner (6:30-8:30PM) with red hot models, notable guests & celebrities. Spend more time getting to know photographer Thomas Knights and the models. Full access to the party including exclusive use of the VIP lounge. One guest allowed from 9pm."

While internet trolls still malign gingers, scientific research shows that redheads are actually genetic superheroes. In The Big Redhead Book: Inside the Secret Society of Red, Erin La Rosa argues that people should be proud of their fiery hair. They're rare, they're beautiful, and studies show they have a higher threshold for pain, due to the MC1R gene mutation. (Note to self: Create a "Super Ginger" superhero character and try to sell it to Marvel. Every freckle can shoot a laser!)
Well, my hair is blonde, with a slight tinge of red. But maybe next time somebody calls me a ginger, I won't be so quick to deny it.
