Ford has proudly built a "very gay" car in response to a person's homophobic comment.
The car retailer unveiled its new design on Twitter on June 25, where they revealed that while their new Raptor has received a lot of feedback, they were stopped in their tracks by one comment in particular.
One critic wrote: "Well... thats a cool car! But that blue color is very Gay!! Hey Ford paint it in BlackNGold or camo! [sic]"
In response to this, the retailer proudly edited their car to make it black and a sparkly gold before adding a rainbow to the side of the vehicle, jokingly shutting down the tweet.
Ford then concluded the video by writing: "Happy Pride!"

Needless to say, the "very gay" car went down a storm on social media, as the clip of its introduction has been viewed almost 12K times, at the time of writing.
Reacting to the new design for Pride, one Twitter user wrote: "This may be the greatest advert I have ever seen. P.S. This truck is sexy in all colors."
A second added: "That is FANTASTIC! But…how in the world is 'Performance Blue' remotely GAY? I'm gay, and I love the color red. Does that make it gay? How is ANY color gay? Silly boy. ANYway, awesome response!"
A third wrote alongside the heart eyes emoji: "This is just golden! And black... with a rainbow! Well done!!"
A fourth added: "In fact - if there's any sort of gathering of vehicles and the press then this should be backed up with a wrapped Raptor in this scheme. Ideally serving sparkly cupcakes so fabulous they scare the insecure away."
Ford revealed in a statement on their website that the "Custom Very Gay Ford Ranger Raptor" was a commitment to making "their position standing against discriminatory speech very clear."
"The Ford employee network GLOBE (Gay, Lesbian or Bisexual Employees) also celebrated its 25th anniversary this year," it said.
"The network has been advocating the concerns of lesbian, gay and bisexual employees since 1996 and actively helping to implement the Ford 'Diversity' corporate philosophy in everyday working life."
The company added that it took 60 hours and 30 square meters of film to create the truly fabulous vehicle.
