A mom has gone viral on social media for waxing her 10-year-old daughter's face after she was bullied for having a unibrow and upper lip.
Ashlee Pease, who goes by the handle @thepeasefamily on TikTok, uses the social media platform as a way of sharing family videos with her 215.2K followers.
In one video, Ashlee documented that her daughter, Giselle, was getting teased at school for having facial hair. So, as a way of helping her overcome it, the mom decided that waxing the middle of her child's eyebrows and her upper lip would be the solution.
"So we’re about to wax the middle of Giselle’s eyebrows, and then she said people in school are teasing her about her mustache, which she doesn’t even have a mustache," Ashlee said. "She just has like a little bit of hair - every girl has a little bit of hair... but we’re gonna wax it because she wants a wax."

She helped Giselle apply the wax and rip it off, but after three failed attempts, she decided to use tweezers instead. They then went on to wax the upper lip, which got rid of the small hairs after a few attempts.
"She has some stubborn hairs," Ashlee jested."We’re just going to go to the professionals to get it done because obviously, this way is not working."
As of this writing, the clip has garnered 1.6 million views and has 215K likes on the video-sharing app, with many users sharing their divided opinions in the comments section.
Many people complimented Giselle's thick eyebrows and praised Ashlee for allowing her daughter to change something about herself that she didn't like.
One user wrote: "Y'all need to stop. This girl trusts her mother so much she came to her with this issue and her mama did what she could to help build her confidence."
Another user also commended Ashlee: "Love that you let her bc she wanted to and didn’t say no because she’s too young or whatever."
A third user insisted that Giselle shouldn't listen to her bullies: "Children need to stop teasing other kids it's not right you are gorgeous the way you are I love your eyebrows."
However, others judged the mom for letting her daughter wax her facial hair in the first place, with one user writing: "Nothing's coming off cos theres nothing to be removed."
"[You] should be teaching [you're] girl that she's perfect and the problem is those who bully her. poor kid," they added.
Meanwhile, another user branded Ashlee "harsh," saying: "I don’t like this mother energy, you are not soft mother, looks very harsh in all ways. Change yourself [urgently.]"
Ashlee then shared a follow-up video responding to one of the negative comments with a lip-syncing video that said: "I don't know what your comment means, but okay?"
Her daughter also made an appearance in the same video and mouthed the words: "Nobody cares. Nobody asked."
