Logos might seem a simple enough concept - but there's no denying that it is something of an art form.
An excellent logo does everything from making a business more memorable (and thus profitable) to allowing customers to actually find the establishment on, say, a busy street jampacked with shops and restaurants.
Personally, if I see a big yellow "M", I know I'm heading in the right direction.
Of course, aesthetic tastes are subjective, so not everyone will appreciate a particular logo - especially if it's recently been changed to something almost entirely different.
Plus if the logo in question happens to belong to one of the most famous businesses in the world, there's no way it can be changed without some form of objection...
Well, Burger King, a bonafide giant in the fast-food industry, has received the same treatment after it recently unveiled its brand new logo.
Check the new logo out here:Yesterday, Burger King posted the new logo to its official Twitter account.
As you can see below, the logo resembles its predecessor used from 1969 to 1999, before the logo that we recognize today took over.
A more compact version of the logo is also being shared online. It features the classic burger buns but this time with a simple "K" as the filling as opposed to "Burger King". And as a whole, the logo forms a "B" shape. Clever, right?
Lots of people loved it, with one person tweeting: "This rebranding by Burger King is trippy and amazing. See the K. See the Burger. Now see the B."
Another person said: "Whoever designed the new Burger King logo should be allowed to design EVERYONE'S logo. Absolutely stunnng bit of design. *wild applause*."
A third person gushed: "Can't help but to love the new Burger King lettering on their products. Fun and retro. Quite fancy a Melty Juicy now."
But not everyone was all that positive about the change, with one person writing: "Is it just me, or have almost ALL 'modern' logos just been retro refreshes?"
Another said: "This literally doesn’t change s**t."
