Police investigate dangerous bonnet-surfing TikTok stunt

Police in Australia are currently investigating a man who recently appeared in a video participating in a dangerous TikTok stunt, in which he could be seen surfing on the bonnet of a driving car.

Per a recent report by News.com.au, the footage of the risky act was uploaded by a man named Luke Zivkovic on Saturday, October 10.

In the video in question, Zivkovic, who hails from Horsham in Victoria, can be seen wearing sunglasses, drinking a bottle of Carlton Dry beer, and smoking a cigarette, while riding on the bonnet of a car down an empty highway.

As well as Zivkovic himself, another passenger riding inside the vehicle can also be seen filming him.

According to News.com.au, the footage has since been shared nearly 3000 times and currently boasts more than 2000 comments on Facebook.

For his part, Zivkovic himself seems ambivalent about the apparent infamy the video has granted him.

After numerous news reports surfaced about his video, Zivkovic penned a Facebook status on October 12, in which he wrote:

"How’s everyone come out of the woodwork wanting to be friends on Facebook for my 10min of fame Hahahaha you hated me in school why the f*** would I wanna know ya now? [sic]"

Per News.com.au, a local police spokesperson commented on the incident by stating:

“Police are aware of video footage circulating of a male traveling at speed on the bonnet of a vehicle believed to be in the Horsham area. The male has been identified and an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the incident."

The footage was also accompanied by the hashtag #dreamschallenge, a TikTok trend originally coined by a TikTok user and Idaho resident named Nathan Apodaca.

According to ABC 7 News, Apocada first went viral after he uploaded a video of himself skateboarding while drinking Ocean Spray brand cranberry juice after his car broke down. In the background of the video, the Fleetwood Mac song Dreams could be heard.

Per BBC News, band founder Mick Fleetwood later personally thanked Apocada for giving the song a new lease on life, and per ABC  7 News, an Ocean Spray representative showed up to present him with a brand-new 2020 Nissan Frontier truck.
