Divorce lawyer reveals the top 5 professions women need to be wary of before marrying a man

A divorce lawyer has taken to social media to reveal the five professions women should be wary of when dating a guy.

TikTok user @attykkl - who also goes by KK on the social media platform - has amassed more than 160,000 followers after sharing her career knowledge and advice in informative posts.

With the text overlay reading "Top 5 Professions Women Should Avoid In A Spouse", KK explains that, when she was just starting to practice family law, another female attorney shared a statistic "about the top five professions of men than women should avoid marrying".

She continues: "Over the course of my career, I've watched my most difficult cases, and shockingly, many of them involve men in these five professions."

Now, KK does insist that the video is "just for fun" and that if your husband works in one of the professionals it does not automatically mean that they are a bad person or that your relationship is doomed.

However, the top five professions for men she says women need to be wary of are: "Firemen, police officer, military, surgeon, and pilot."

Explaining her thoughts on why this could be the case, KK says: "If you look at these professions, what do they all have in common? They all have in common that the men in these professions, they’re gods in their profession, right?

"You're a policeman, you're walking around with a gun, you're walking around with authority. If you're a surgeon, you're walking around the hospital – everybody looks up to you, you're in charge, everybody treats you with respect.

"And then you come home and all of a sudden somebody's asking you to take out the trash. I think that that's a difficult kind of transition to make."

KK continues: "Pilots, especially, when you look at pilots you cross over to the Air Force, military. They're in control of like 150-200 people's lives at a time. They are treated with a tremendous amount of respect, and they have a lot of responsibility. And they tend to be very narcissistic and very controlling."

The video ends with KK once again stressing that she is sure that there are definitely "great ones" in these professions and that this was just based on a "theme" she's noticed throughout her career.

After amassing over 2.8 million views, fellow TikTokers flooded the comments section to share their thoughts.

One person commented: "Those people are drawn to those professions because they control things and people".

Another attorney added: "NJ divorce lawyer. 100% agree. Military [and] surgeons run tabs into the six figures."

A third wrote: "Cops, military, doctors/EMT, and lawyers [...] I worked at [a] domestic abuse hotline and yup those were the common professions, oh and they CHEATTT a lot."

Some TikTokers also shared the professions they believed made the best husbands, with one person writing: "Girl if you're wondering what profession has the best men... ENGINEERS they're always the sweetest."

Another added: "Ladies, get yourself a construction worker. Low maintenance, doesn’t mind [doing] laundry, and builds the deck as a hobby."
