A restaurant server has gone viral on social media after expressing her anger at customers who sat at a table for six hours and only left a 10 percent tip.
The server, Kristina Withers, who goes by the handle @krisswith on TikTok, posted a two-minute video explaining her annoyance at the unidentified customers.
In the video, she said the customers were at the restaurant before she even got to work at 5:30 PM, and that her colleague, who had gotten to work at 3:30 PM, had already served them and cashed them out.
"They were fine, they were chilling," Kristina said of the couple that was at the restaurant before her shift. "They were good to go. Cashed out, no worries."
Watch Withers' TikTok below:By 7 PM - three hours after they had been cashed out - the customers came up to the server and asked her who is in charge of their table because they wanted to order drinks and dinner.
By that time, Kristina's coworker had finished her shift, and so the TikToker became their new server.
The woman said during her shift, each of the customers got a drink, a taco plate, and then ordered another drink at 8 PM. She said that the couple was the last customers in the restaurant - even when it was set to close at 10 PM.
"The best part though, the very best part? They didn’t even tip 20%," Kristina said. "They were my only table. Like I know I was giving them great service - probably overly good service because, again, they were my only table."
Kristina insisted that she gave them excellent service, but despite that, the customers only tipped her 10% for the six hours they spent.
"So if you’re going to go sit in a restaurant for six f***ing hours, there should be like a f***ing table fee. $5 [per] f***ing hour if you’re sitting there not drinking and not buying anything," she said in aggravation. "It’s a f***ing joke."
The server's video amassed 5132 likes and 40.3K views on the social media platform, with many viewers saying they understood Kristina's frustration.
Some people couldn’t fathom why the customers felt comfortable sitting inside a restaurant for six hours - and then only tipping a small amount.
One user was baffled and wrote: "Wth who [sits] at a restaurant for 6 hours?"
Another commented that senior staff members should've gotten involved: "This was a manager fail. they should have been told to leave way sooner."
A third user questioned: "I want the entitled broke people who refuse to tip to try and justify how you can waste a server’s time for 6 hours and only tip 10 percent."
Lastly, a fourth user shared a similar experience and wrote: This happened to me when I was serving, two ladies sat for HOURS and left a dollar in coins."
Well, it looks like many people are bemused by the couple's restaurant conduct. What do you guys think? Comment down below!
