A student has been left in floods of tears after accidentally submitted a school essay with a very inappropriate title.

In a video shared to TikTok on October 27 by user Emma (who uses the handle @hanspoet), her roommate, Susan, can be seen hysterically crying on the floor and shrieking.

Emma can be heard asking Susan: "What did you do?!"

To which a distraught Susan replies: "What am I supposed to do? Can you, like, resubmit something on Blackboard?" (Blackboard is a classroom app that allows students to submit their work online.)

Emma then switches her camera over to Susan's computer screen, which still has the mid-term paper open.

After zooming in, however, it becomes apparent that Susan had submitted her paper without changing her unique title: "stupid f**ing paper that has no meaning."

In all fairness, I would also be crying my eyes out and wailing hysterically.

Susan can then be heard telling Emma: "This is not funny. I'm so sad!"

The video has since amassed over 7.1 million views, with many TikTokers taking to the comments section to offer their advice.

One person suggested that Susan should also submit the video in an effort to be awarded extra credit. Whereas another joked that her "catchy title" will make her paper "stand out".

Another TikTok user provided some helpful advice and suggested that Susan blames the unfortunate title on a sibling playing a prank.

In a follow-up video, Emma revealed that Susan had emailed her professor explaining the blunder. In the email, she wrote:

"This morning I turned in my mid-term synthesis paper and I thought I had double checked everything.

"After I turned it in, I realized that the title is not appropriate and not what I wanted it to be. I am very sorry and I understand that it is not appropriate."

Susan then apologized once again and attached the paper with the correct title.

Fortunately, Susan's professor cleared her unfortunate first attempt, and simply asked her to resubmit her corrected paper through Blackboard and that she is now awaiting the grade.

Because trying to get an education during a pandemic isn't stressful enough!
