Man who’s visited every country in the world says this one nation was the scariest

A man who has visited every country in the world is speaking out about his experiences, including what was the scariest country he visited.

With millions of followers and a vast collection of stories from all corners of the globe, Drew Binsky has encountered a variety of destinations - some breathtakingly beautiful, others, unfortunately, unsafe and unnerving.

In a series of videos, Binsky has shared both the most thrilling and the most terrifying places he has visited, offering a rare glimpse into the real-life experiences of a seasoned traveler.

The Scariest Place in the World

While most travelers might seek adventure, Binsky’s experience in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, is not one he will soon forget - though for all the wrong reasons.

In his video titled "Top five places where I felt the most unsafe as a traveller," Binsky named Mogadishu as the number one most frightening place he has visited.

He explained: "I travelled to every country in the world. Here are the five places I felt most unsafe. Number one is Mogadishu, which is the capital of the East African country Somalia."

For those unfamiliar with the situation in Somalia, Binsky clarified the extreme security measures in place.

"This place has no rules, no laws, and Al-Shabaab is present, which is an off-shoot of Al-Qaeda," Binsky said.

"Every time you leave your hotel you have to have a convoy in the front and back with four bulletproof vest military guys sitting on the beds of each truck with huge AK-47s in their hand, scouting out the area before you go."

Binsky further detailed the severity of the dangers, recounting his visit to the Hyatt Hotel, a place that has since been attacked.

"Last time I went, I visited my friend at the Hyatt Hotel, which actually is gone because it was attacked. It's just very scary and very unfortunate."

The U.S. government has issued a "Do Not Travel" warning for Somalia due to crime, terrorism, and civil unrest, and Binsky’s description of the situation in Mogadishu makes it easy to see why.

The Philippines: Drew Binsky’s Favorite Travel Destination

While some places have scared him, others have stolen his heart, and none more so than the Philippines.

Drew Binsky’s passion for the Southeast Asian nation is well-known, as he has shared in numerous videos. For Binsky, the Philippines tops his list of favorite destinations, which he revealed in a video last year.

"Every single experience in the Philippines is incredible," he said, citing the country's stunning beaches, rich wildlife, and vibrant natural beauty.

But what makes the Philippines truly special to Binsky isn’t just its landscapes - it's the people.

"The moment you've stepped foot in the land of 7,641 islands you are welcomed like family," Binsky shared. "It's never been easier to make a new friend as Filipinos will always greet you with a smile."

He added that the Philippines had captured his heart so deeply that he visited the country 75 times. He even got married there and had tattoos done by a 107-year-old artist.

Binsky also tried some of the more unusual dishes in the country, including a cow’s penis, which he described as one of the "most underrated" experiences of his travels.

The YouTuber's love for the Philippines extends to the capital, Manila, which he described as "one of the best cities out there." He noted that English is widely spoken, making it easy for travelers to navigate and communicate.

"The Philippines is the fourth largest English-speaking country in the world," he wrote, further praising the ease of communication.
