For many, being able to work from home is a real privilege. You can get out of bed later, you don't have to shower as often, and you can avoid the dreaded commute to work on a packed train.

But while many of us would have longed for an opportunity to work from home in the pre-lockdown days, these past few weeks have shown us that it's not as hassle-free as we once thought.

Just ask the chief meteorologist at NBC 5 On Your Side!

Take a look at the hilarious moment the weatherman is repeatedly interrupted by his pet dog during a broadcast from home:

Scott Connell took to Facebook to post the hysterical moment his dog Maple kept interrupting him while he was filming a short segment to tease the weather forecast for later that night.

He wrote in the caption: "Anybody else have a dog that really wants to be part of every experience? Working from home certainly has its challenges. Little Miss Maple apparently thought the squirrel in the backyard was worthy of my attention while trying to tape the tease for the late news Tuesday night. She's just a little spunky for sure!"

Needless to say, the commenters were delighted by the comical dog-owner dynamic under these unusual circumstances.

One wrote: "Thank you!!! You made me smile and I totally understand working from home as I was a virtual employee for 3 years and life happens especially when you are on a conference call or video chat. Always!"

Another added: "This was awesome Scott. It was what we all needed - a little laughter to brighten our day. Also that we all have things that happen, when we don't want them too, but we all get thru them. Thank you so much for making my day brighter!"

A third said: "Funny, Yeah my son's dog wants attention too like wanting to constantly go in the back yard. That is okay but when the neighbor's dog is out they want to talk very loudly, lol."
