A tattoo artist has stunned users on social media after inking freckles on a client's face.

Australian Tattooist Daisy Lovesick - who goes by the handle @daisylovesick on TikTok - shared one of the latest designs for her client Michaela, who wanted freckles tattooed on her face.

Daisy revealed that the customer traveled around 700 miles just to get the design before sharing footage of her natural face pre-ink.

The tattoo artist told viewers that the design was mutually agreed upon with the client and said that they decided to go for "medium coverage freckles" on her face.

Check out the TikTok below:

Daisy explained the full process in the video, saying: "I always map my freckles with my clients sitting up and I have them go and look in the mirror to check that they're happy before we get started."

''I get my clients to smile, make faces, talk, watch themselves in the mirror and make sure everything is lining up with their vision," she continued.

The Brisbane-based artist then began the ink work on Michaela's face until she was satisfied with the design. She showed the client's swollen face after the tattoo was completed and described her skin as "angry, angry skin".

However, Daisy stressed that this skin reaction is normal and will often calm down after an hour. She then spoke of her fascination with her work, saying: ''I am so absolutely obsessed with how these freckles came out. I am so, so happy."

As of this writing, the video has garnered 3.5 million views and 258.3K likes, with many users on the social media platform divided by the outcome of Michaela's new ink.

While the creator may be pleased with her design - many questioned why her client chose to have freckles tattooed on her face when she already had them.

One user said: "Who would tattoo freckles??? why????"

Another wrote: "People with freckles wondering why?"

A third commented: "Freckle tattoos? this is what we’re doing now ??????"

Another also shared praises and commented: "I'd come from Canada for your freckles."
