A woman who claims she has the world’s "ugliest" tattoo has opened up about why she regrets the ink.
Many people can admit that while they have some inkwork that they're not the proudest of, they have learned to accept it for what it is.
However, Marie Armstrong - who goes by the handle @marieaarm on TikTok - revealed on the social media platform that she's finding it hard to accept having the world's "ugliest tattoo".
"I've never instantly regretted getting a tattoo until this one I got yesterday," Marie told her followers.
Watch Marie's TikTok below:The TikToker, who resides in Palm Beach explained how this slip-up went down, sharing that she got a tattoo of a half-peeled banana on her index finger about a year ago.
As the original ink "completely" faded and "you could not tell what it was," she decided to accompany her boyfriend to an unidentified tattoo shop to get it redrawn.
Things went south when Marie noticed that she and her boyfriend had different artists and that she was unable to communicate with her inkmaster because he only spoke Spanish.
"I show him a picture of right when I got the banana done the first time, and he goes ahead and starts free-handing, like, adding on the rest of the banana to what he can already see and sketching it," she explained. "I didn’t really expect him to print [a] stencil because, like, you’d have to size it perfectly. So I’m like freehand, fine. You’re an artist, like, this is what you do, you know what you’re doing."
When the outraged TikToker saw the finished product, she went bananas...
"I look at it, and I am trying to not cry. Like, I know that these are stupid, silly, little, goofy tattoos and maybe to you, like, it doesn’t matter how the f*** they look, but I actually care," she emotionally said.
"Like, I actually liked my original banana, and I thought it was adorable," she continued to explain. "And you just put the ugliest piece of s*** on my body ever that I have to live with."

Upon seeing her "ugly" tattoo, many fans took to the comment section to share their reactions.
One user wrote that they "see a sock puppet with ears," while another chimed in: "It kind of looks like the thumbs from Spy Kids lol."
A third quipped that it looks like "a flying dog," asking Maria to "add eyeballs," and a fourth assured the content creator that she can fix it: "I don’t think it’s that bad! Obviously, the left side is off & that's what makes it look a bit different but I feel like a single line added to it could fix it."
Towards the end of the clip, Marie said she was optimistic the botched job would "fade as much as it did the first time," revealing: "I'm like not taking care of it at all. I'm washing my hands a million times a day and once it starts to scab, I will be peeling the scab off."
She also disclosed that her boyfriend messaged the shop owner, who promised to redo it when it fades but she doesn't know if she'll go back and "let him fix it for me," confessing that she "should have never cheated on" her original tattoo artist in the first place.
"But yeah, so I have the world’s ugliest banana tattoo on my finger," she mused.
