A woman has taken to social media to share her unique "hack" for keeping men from bothering her at the gym.

Sydney, who goes by the handle @blackmarketbagelsociety0 on TikTok, took to the social media platform earlier this week to share a video of her plan in action. The clip shows her in the gym, with makeup strategically smeared on her neck.

The text on the video reads: "Life hack - no man has tried to correct my form since smearing brown eyeshadow on my neck like hickeys."

In the caption, Sydney jokes: "Guess my form is just better this week."

Check out Sydney's video below:

The post has amassed over 1.3 million views in just three days, and many of the comments sadly show that this is an issue many women face when going to the gym.

"It's sad that you actually have to find ways to get people to leave you alone when it should just be default," one person commented.

A second exasperated TikTok user replied: "Men will literally respect imaginary men more than a real living woman."

A third quipped: "I went to the gym with an actual hickey and no man looked at me for longer than a second."

Other Tiktokers revealed that they've purchased silicon wedding bands for the gym in order to deter people from approaching them.

"I bought one of those silicon wedding rings (they're like $5) and I wear that at the gym and no one bothers me anymore," one Tiktok user commented.

In a follow-up video, Sydney further clarified that the intention of the hack was indeed to stop guys from flirting with her while she was working out. Unbelievably, somebody failed to grasp that concept.

Sydney's story comes after stories of other women going viral for how they handled creeps at their own respective gyms.

For example, this personal trainer was been praised by social media users after her response to a guy she says she caught staring at her while she worked out at the gym. check it out below:

Remember, gyms are places people go to exercise. Everybody should feel safe when they enter a gym and not have to worry about unwanted attention from strangers. Sydney's "hickey hack" may be genius (and it truly is), but it's ridiculous she has to go to these lengths in the first place.
