While female body hair continues to be censored in popular culture, more and more people are coming forward to normalize it, including Madonna's daughter, Lourdes Leon.
The 21-year-old made her catwalk debut on Tuesday at the Gypsy Sport show at New York Fashion Week, where she dazzled in a skimpy bikini top, made of shells and chains. The look was completed with ripped jeans, sunglasses, and giant green feathers worn in Lourdes' hair.
Ultimately, however, it wasn't the fashion that took centre-stage, as people had more to say about the model's choice to flaunt her body hair.

Madonna's eldest daughter flashed unshaven legs through her ripped jeans as she made her first runway appearance at the Gypsy Sport Spring/Summer 2019 show.
Embracing a natural body hair look, Lourdes proudly showed off long dark hairs on her shins, a year after championing her armpit hair in a snap with her mother, Madonna, on New Year's Eve.
The alternative Gypsy Sport show seemed like the perfect opportunity for Lourdes to lend her support to the body positivity movement, which seeks to normalise female body hair. The model has previously been known to bare her armpit hair on multiple occasions.

According to Vogue, Lourdes personally reached out to the show creator, Rio Uribe, and asked to walk in the New York Fashion Week presentation.
While the legendary pop-singer didn't publicly announce that her daughter will be making her NYFW debut on social media, she did post a candid shot to her Instagram Story of Lourdes flicking off the camera.
"Mama’s girl," Madonna captioned the image, which was also shared on Lourdes's personal account.
Though this may be her catwalk debut, it isn't the first time that Lourdes has attended New York Fashion Week. In September 2016, she sat front row alongside her mother at Alexander Wang's Spring/Summer 2017 show, and later made an appearance at the #WangFest afterparty.
Lourdes first started modelling in 2016, when she was the face of Stella McCartney's perfume, Pop. She also featured in Converse's MadeMe collaboration. "I have a lot of people judging my every move," she told Vogue at the time. "It’s important for me to not let it rule my life."

But despite her modelling credentials, Lourdes is currently studying at her mother's alma mater, The University of Michigan.
Born in 1996, Lourdes is Madonna's eldest child, whom she shares with actor, dancer and fitness trainer, Carlos Leon. Along with her oldest daughter, Lourdes, the Like A Prayer singer also has five other children, including 18-year-old Rocco Ritchie, whose father is Guy Ritchie, and four children whom she adopted from Malawi: 12-year-old David, 12-year-old Mercy James, and six-year-old twins, Estere and Stella.
Well, if this was just Lourdes' runway debut, we just can't wait to see what she does next! It certainly looks like superstardom runs in the family...

Madonna has shared a sweet selfie with her daughter, Lourdes, on Instagram.
The selfie was captioned: "Like Pieces of your Heart Walking around outside of you..........."
Lourdes is not the Queen of Pop's only child, and she also is a parent to Rocco, 20, with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie, and adopted children David Banda, 15, Mercy James, 15, and twins Stella and Esther, eight.
In the selfie, it's clear that the mom and daughter duo share the same enviable striking features, but Lourdes' decision to grow out her armpit hair didn't go down well with all commentators.
One critic wrote: "Wait y’all not going pretend like you don’t see the pits."
Others, however, pointed out that women can do anything they like to their bodies, including growing out their body hair. One Instagram user affirmed: "Women have a choice to keep their body hair, haters can sit on this and spin."
Madonna doesn't just look younger than her years, she also prefers the company of much younger people, and her current beau, Ahlamalik Williams, is 26.
The 'Like a Virgin' singer has been keeping her fans entertained by sharing videos of the pair kissing passionately, and in one, she could also be seen blowing smoke into Williams' mouth.
The pair's relationship was unveiled in December 2019, and at the time, Williams' parents, who are both younger than Madonna, spoke about the couple's plans for the future.
His dad Drue told the Mirror: "Madonna went on and on about how much she cares about our son. She said he’s intelligent and very talented.
"She told us she is so much in love with him and that we didn’t have anything to worry about as she was going to take care of him.
"We know there's a huge age gap between the two - 36 years. Madonna is two years older than me.
"But I have told my son love doesn’t have an age range when you're consenting adults."

Lourdes Leon - the daughter of pop icon Madonna - has made a splash after proudly flashing her armpit hair at her first-ever Met Gala.
The model, 24, wore a pink fuchsia Moschino by Jeremy Scott that included a bikini halter top and matching skirt, which were covered in sequins, PEOPLE reports.
The bold outfit was made even bolder by Leon's unshaven armpit hair, which she showed off with confidence on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (September 13).
The model attended the event after she appeared on the Vogue cover for September as part of its cover story "Generation America: The Models Changing an Industry."
"People think I'm this talentless rich kid who's had everything given to her, but I'm not," she told Vogue before explaining that she funded her college tuition personally and lives in the Bushwick, Brooklyn, not Hollywood.
Leon added that, while she is very much her own person, one thing that she does have in common with Madonna is a love of dancing.
"A teacher of mine made me understand movement in a whole new way," she said. "You're using your body to define the space around you - to change it. That's a very naked form of expression."
Lourdes, who was Madonna's first child with Carlos Leon, was revealed to be the face of Swarovski's new campaign after the Vogue cover, PEOPLE reports, which the brand says will "serve as a platform for representation of people from all cultures and orientations."
This year's met Gala came with the theme of celebrating the evolution of American fashion, titled In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.
Following last night's event, the exhibition will officially begin on September 18 and will run all the way through to September 5, 2022, with the aim of "[celebrating] The Costume Institute's 75th anniversary and explore a modern vocabulary of American fashion."
The exhibition is in two parts, and the second - titled In America: An Anthology of Fashion - will open on May 5, next year. It "will explore the development of American fashion by presenting narratives that relate to the complex and layered histories of those spaces."

Madonna's daughter has caused a stir on Instagram after joining the platform last week and proceeding to savagely roast the singer's fans.
Lourdes Leon began her Instagram feed by posting a picture of herself from her racy Juicy Couture underwear shoot, which she captioned: "ShUt Up & LiStEn".
However, Page Six reports that when a Madonna fan commented, "Your mother made a masterpiece called Hard Candy", in reference to Madonna's 2008 album, Leon replied: "your mother sucks wild d**k."
Meanwhile, when another fan questioned Leon's revealing attire, writing, "not u thirst trapping… what would ur mom think?", she fired back: "does your mom know u don't wash ur a** [sic]."
The news outlet added that when another Madonna fan commented to Leon, "we're waiting for your singing debut," she replied: "I'll sing at your funeral."
Lourdes followed up her first Instagram post with clips from a project where she models for Adidas and designer Stella McCartney.
She also went on to resolve her comments situation on the social media website by disabling this feature on her second two posts.
However, while Lourdes' comments might have come as a surprise to those receiving them, they did have their fans, with one writing: "I'm living with your clap backs."
Madonna herself is no stranger to finding herself in hot water on Instagram, either, and last year, she was slammed after posting a video of herself from a bathtub where she described coronavirus as "the great equalizer."
"That's the thing about COVID-19. It doesn't care about how rich you are, how famous you are, how funny you are," she said.
Check out the bizarre video below:The Queen of Pop continued: "How smart you are, where you live, how old you are, what amazing stories you can tell. It's the great equalizer and what's terrible about is it what's great about it.
"What's terrible about it is that it's made us all equal in many ways and what's wonderful about is, is that it's made us all equal in many ways.
"Like I used to say at the end of human nature every night, if the ship goes down, we're all going down together."
Madonna accompanied the video with a snap of herself looking into the camera with two roses covering her breasts.
In an interview with Page Six, a source close to the singer said her Instagram posts were "clearly performance art… It is not meant to be literal."

There's no doubt that Lady Gaga is one of the most iconic pop stars of all time, and she's instantly recognisable.
It could well be that we see a Lady Gaga biopic one of these days, and there's no doubt that Gaga's monsters would love to see a movie about her rise to fame - much the same as how Rami Malek portrayed Queen singer Freddy Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody.
Check out Lady Gaga's stunning entrance on the red carpet:

But who would be the best person to play Gaga in a movie? Well, if social media users are to be believed, then the best person to portray her is the daughter of another iconic musician: the child of Madonna herself.
Lourdes Leon, the eldest daughter of Madonna - who played the flower girl in Britney and Madonna's 2003 VMA "Like A Virgin/Hollywood" performance - is now all grown up, and recently Gaga fans have noticed that the 22-year-old bears an uncanny resemblance to a young Stefani Germanotta.

The fact that Lourdes is a dead ringer for Lady Gaga was first noticed by Twitter users after a picture of her emerged on the social network following her front-row debut at New York City Fashion Week.
In related news, in a recent interview with Allure, Gaga stated that it took a long time for her to accept herself and her body.
Gaga stated: "I never felt beautiful, and I still have days that I don’t feel beautiful all of the insecurities that I’ve dealt with my whole life from being bullied when I was younger, they come right back up to bite me."
She added: "Then I put makeup on, and before I know it I feel this superhero within. It gives me those wings to fly ... When I became Lady Gaga when I was younger, it was because I discovered makeup. It means so much to me on a deep visceral level - the power of makeup to change how you feel when you’re at your lowest."
