While it seems that the younger generation of celebs are all transitioning into the stage of their lives where they're getting engaged and having babies (I'm looking at you Kylie Jenner, Ariana Grande/Pete Davidson and Justin Bieber/Hailey Baldwin), it seems others aren't feeling the pressure to jump ahead to new life stages like their peers.
I'm talking about Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus, who've been a long-time dream couple with a tumultuous relationship history.

They've had a wild ride, falling in love on the set of The Last Song just over eight years ago before they started going out. Soon after, the young lovebirds announced their engagement, broke up, got back together and got engaged again. It's been on-and-off for ages now, but recent rumours have sparked up to say that things are over for good.
It started a few days ago when the singer-slash-actor who was formerly better known as Hannah Montana went and wiped her whole Instagram account. Like, everything is gone.
People speculated that 25-year-old Miley archived all of her pics because A) she was about to drop a whole lotta music and do a swishy kind of promotional strategy for it like Taylor Swift did. Or B) she and Liam broke up.
Of course, people thought the second option was a juicier topic to gossip about, so the tabloids went wild with accusations saying that the Hunger Games actor, 28, and Miley had called it quits for good.

Next minute, some "sources" told OK! Australia that it was because Miley wasn't ready to be a mum. This source claimed that the Australian actor was "left heartbroken" because "Miley put off plans for the wedding and Liam was growing tired of it. They haven't been getting along in recent months."
"He wants kids and doesn't want to keep putting it off but it's not quite the timeline Miley had in mind," they said.

However, all this turned out be a load of garbage, if Liam's recent Instagram activity is anything to go by. The couple debunked the rumours in the best way possible by Liam posting a video of the two of them goofing around in the car together.
He's driving, and Miley's filming them both singing along and bopping to a tune. All of a sudden, Liam yells as if something's on the road to give Miley a little fright. (Side note: drive carefully guys and don't try this trick at home).

He posted the video to Instagram a few days ago, proving that everything still seems to be as dandy as ever between them. Fans were relieved and found the video response to the rumours hilarious.

Well, it looks as if things are as good as ever between Miley and Liam. Even though they don't seem to be acting on their engagement very fast – especially compared to the pace of the recent celebrity couples who are getting engaged mere weeks after officially hooking up – it seems all is well in the Cyrus-Hemsworth household.

Miley Cyrus has opened up about her eight-month marriage with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
The 30-year-old superstar has launched a TikTok video series titled 'Used To Be Young' - which is the name of her latest single from her forthcoming album.
The Hannah Montana alum has taken the time to reflect on the trials and tribulations of her past, as well as her successful moments. From addressing her infamous scandals to her sexuality, Cyrus did not hold back.
On September 6, the 'Party in the USA' singer finally spoke about her divorce from the Hunger Games star, whom she dated on and off for almost 10 years before being married for less than a year.
Watch the TikTok below:The 'Flowers' singer explained that she had made the decision to split from the 33-year-old as she was gearing up to headline Glastonbury Festival in June 2019.
Cyrus shared that while her and Hemsworth's initial commitment to being married "came from… a place of love," it also came from a place of "trauma" after the November 2018 California wildfires destroyed their home.
"Me and Liam’s commitment to being married, of course, came from a place of love first because we had been together for 10 years, but also from a place of trauma and just trying to rebuild as quickly as we could," the singer-songwriter said.
It was that day that the 'Midnight Sky' artist was set to take the stage that she realized that their dynamic "was no longer going to work in [her] life."
Cyrus also revealed that since then, she has begun to prioritize her needs as a human being above all else. "That was another moment where the work, the performance, the character came first," she continued.
"I guess that’s why it’s now so important to me for that not to be the case - that the human comes first," she added.
The couple famously met and fell in love on the set of The Last Song in 2009. In another video in the series, Cyrus recalled the undeniable chemistry between her and the Australian actor when they first got introduced.
Hemsworth was one of the three finalists auditioning to play the singer's on-screen boyfriend, and it wasn’t long until he swept her off her feet after landing the role.
"I think one of the elements that made that movie feel so special was it was watching two very young people fall in love with each other, which was happening in real time and real life," she gushed. "So, the chemistry was undeniable and that was the beginning of a long, 10-year relationship."
The Nicholas Sparks adaptation was released in 2010 and portrayed the duo's love story on the big screen. After they finished filming, Cyrus and Hemsworth began dating between 2009 and 2013 and were also engaged for a while.
The couple broke up briefly and got back together in 2016. They then eventually tied the knot among family and friends in an intimate ceremony back in December 2018.
However, the Dressmaker star filed for divorce in August 2019 - several months after Cyrus' Glastonbury performance - and the former couple eventually reached an official settlement in early 2020.

Fans were in utter disbelief when it was revealed in August that Miley Cyrus and her longtime beau and husband of nearly eight months, Liam Hemsworth, had decided to call it quits.
Shortly after the split was announced the 26-year-old Wrecking Ball singer jetted off to Italy with reality star Kaitlynn Carter, who had recently split with Brody Jenner. When Miley and Kaitlynn were photographed kissing, however, it became clear that their relationship wasn't quite as platonic as we thought.

In September, after just six weeks of dating, Miley and Kaitlynn broke up, according to reports. However, Miley wasted no time in having a little fun with singer Cody Simpson, whom she was spotted kissing in Los Angeles earlier this week.
And while it's not really anyone's business who The Last Song actress decides to date, it appears plenty of people thought it was. Indeed, on Friday, Miley took to her Instagram stories to address some people's opinion that she was moving on too quickly following her marriage with Chris.
She began:
"I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it through from the beginning. I think that's why people have always felt entitled over my life and how I live it, because they watched me grow up. But I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality."
"Men (especially successful ones) are RARELY slut-shamed. They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence. They are usually referred to as 'legends,' 'heartthrobs,' 'G,' 'Ladies Man' etc.Where women are called sluts. I am just trying to thrive/survive in a man's world. If we can't beat 'em, join 'em!"

The singer also said she would never keep her romances under wraps because it's "not fun" and "extremely uncomfortable/puts me in a vulnerable position."
"I would like the share an activity with someone I am dating and not be stuck at home with pretty much nothing to do but 'Netflix and Chill,'" she added before continuing, "This 'dating' thing is new to me, too. I've never been an 'adult'/grown-ass woman experiencing this. I was in a committed relationship for almost all of my teens and early 20s, with the exception of a few breaks."
"Don't pity me, that's not what I'm asking for. I have a great life I wouldn't trade for 'privacy' - but PLEASE don't make this awkward for me. I am trying to make like and like always make fun of myself/the public's perception of me. Get used to me dating - this is where I am at."

It seems as though, even months after their split, the drama between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth is ongoing.
The pair first met while filming the musical rom-com The Last Song in 2009, and were on-again-off-again for several years before getting married in a private ceremony this time last year.
However, after being married for just eight months, the couple decided to divorce after Miley was caught kissing actress, Kaitlynn Carter, while vacationing in Italy with friends.

Now Miley Cyrus has lampooned her former marriage to Liam after an Instagram-user professed their love for her.
When the Instagram account The Most Famous Artist (run by Matty Mo) posted an image in which they professed their wish to marry Miley in 2020, Miley took to the comments to reply: "It probably won't last long ? But always down to try. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. [sic]"
In a recent Instagram post, Miley called Liam a "horrible person":

Miley's comments seem to contradict those made by Liam earlier this year, when the Australian actor wrote in an Instagram post: "Hi all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. [sic]"
He added: "This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love [sic]."

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the couple at the time told People: "Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers."
They added: "They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."

Fans of singer, Miley Cyrus, were shocked to discover that she and her husband of eight months, Liam Hemsworth, had decided to split back in August.
According to Entertainment Tonight, a representative for the couple said: "Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers."
"They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."

Now, Miley's followers on social media have found cause to believe that she's called out one of her exes for being unfaithful.
"Happy Sunday from me & 2 stinky dogs," she wrote in an Instagram story. "Waking up surrounded by animals is my favorite way to start a morning. I am immediately reminded to LOVE without conditions.... the best part about animals is that they are careless about the details. They live by the golden rule ... Love & Be Loved.
"Nothing in between. No questions regarding wealth, career, talents, race, age, sex ....They love back 100X .... all they ask for is to be cared for in exchange for loyalty, reliability, and faithfulness. (reminds me of someone) [sic]."
People were quick to assume that Miley was either calling out Liam Hemsworth, or Kaitlynn Carter - who she dated after splitting with Liam. The singer has, however, recently broken it off with Kaitlynn, allegedly under good terms, meaning that it's unlikely that she's referencing her here.
Liam cited "irreconcilable differences" in his divorce from the 26-year-old, which is reportedly to be finalised next month.
Miley has previously denied allegations of infidelity on her end, saying "I am proud to say, I am simply in a different place from where I was when I was younger. I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating."
