There's no doubt that Baby Yoda from the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, is one of the most popular characters in the Star Wars franchise.

Ever since the series dropped, viewers all over the world fell in love with the cute little space tot, and we were all soon buried under an avalanche of Baby Yoda themed merchandise, such as life-sized realistic figures, T-shirts, and even a cameo appearance in the latest Sims game.

Have a look at this cool behind-the-scenes video of Baby Yoda shared by showrunner Jon Favreau:

But now it seems as though Baby Yoda has come from a galaxy far, far away, and arrived on planet Earth to cheer up hardworking first responders of the Californian wildfires. As you can see from some of the images below, he's been popping up everywhere to lend a hand/claw.

According to a recent report by KSAT, the Baby Yoda plushy was sent on his odyssey by a five-year-old boy named Carver, who was packing supplies to send to beleaguered firefighters with his grandmother, Sasha Tinning.

Carver spotted the adorable alien toy, and threw him into the box as well, along with a handwritten note which read: "Thank you, firefighters. Here is a friend for you, in case you get lonely <3 Love, Carver [sic]" [[facebookwidget||https://www.facebook.com/105042248019357/photos/a.105043954685853/105043868019195]] Decked in a stars and stripes neckerchief, the Baby Yoda toy has now traveled the length and breadth of the state, inspiring all who encounter him. Sasha has even launched an official Facebook blog entitled Baby Yoda Fights Fires, to better document his travels.

In an interview with KSAT about his thoughtful gesture, Carver stated:

"I have always wanted to help and uplift anyone that’s around me. And this really was a bright spot in a dark time I wanted to share with everyone."

Take a look at some of the people Baby Yoda has met and the places he's been on his many travels:
