Adam Levine has spoken out following allegations that he had an affair with model Sumner Stroh.
The 43-year-old Maroon 5 frontman was accused of "having an affair" by 23-year-old Stroh in a TikTok post.
In her video, she says: "I was having an affair with a man who's married to a Victoria's Secret model."
Levine is currently married to his wife of eight years, Behati Prinsloo, who is also currently expecting his third child.
Stroh continued: "At the time, I was young, I was naive, and, I mean, quite frankly, I feel exploited. I wasn’t in ‘the scene’ like I am now, so I was definitely very easily manipulated."
Watch Stroh's initial video below:In the video, Stroh shared messages she had allegedly received from the 'She Will Be Loved' singer, one of which reads: "It is truly unreal how f***ing hot you are."
After claiming to have been in a relationship with Levine for a year, she then says they lost contact for several months, before he allegedly sent her a message saying that he wants to name his unborn child 'Sumner'.
In a second video, she said: "My morals were unknowingly compromised. I was completely manipulated. I wanted to handle this privately. I never wanted to come forward because obviously, I know the implications of doing what I do — making the money the way I do, being an Instagram model... I know the stereotypes."
Now, Levine has responded to the allegations in his Instagram Stories, saying: "A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air."
The frontman continued: "I used poor judgement in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life."
Levine added that "in certain instances" his behavior "became inappropriate", but that he has "addressed that" and "taken proactive steps to remedy this with [his] family".
The 'Sugar' singer continued: "My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again. I take full responsibility."
Less than an hour later, Stroh appeared to respond to Levine's comments with an Instagram Story of her own, in which she wrote: "Someone get this man a dictionary."
