Diddy reveals sickening thing he 'found in his prison food' before he was sentenced to 50 months
Sean “Diddy” Combs recently made shocking allegations about conditions at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center in a last-ditch attempt to be released on bail before sentencing.
In a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, his lawyer described the facility as “inhumane” and cited unsanitary food and repeated lockdowns. The 55-year-old had been in custody since his arrest in September 2024 on a string of serious charges.
The appeal came just months before Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison on October 3.
Prison conditions he described may affect bail decision
In the bail filing, obtained by Page Six, Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo claimed the rapper was enduring harsh and dangerous conditions.
“MDC routinely serves food that is expired or infested with maggots,” Agnifilo wrote, including a photo as evidence. “The maggot-infested food captured in that photo is, unfortunately, not an uncommon experience,” he added. Agnifilo also described “exceptional circumstances” such as frequent lockdowns and deteriorating mental health concerns as reasons the court should consider bail.
Combs was detained in the same facility that previously held R. Kelly and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Outcome of the trial, verdict, and sentence
After an eight-week trial that began in May, Combs was found guilty of two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution.
He was acquitted of the more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. On October 3, Judge Subramanian sentenced him to 50 months in federal prison - just over four years - and ordered a $500,000 fine. According to NBC News and BBC News, the judge acknowledged Combs’ difficult childhood and struggles with addiction but said the crimes could not be ignored.
Diddy’s apology and plea for mercy
During sentencing, Combs delivered an emotional statement in court, expressing remorse for his actions. He said they were “disgusting, shameful, and sick,” and apologized to his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and another victim known as “Jane.” “I have been humbled and broken to my core,” he told the court. Combs also spoke about his addiction and childhood trauma but said he accepted full responsibility.
His legal team argued that his upbringing and mental health contributed to his behavior, while prosecutors focused on the harm done to the women involved. The judge stated clearly that Combs had abused his influence and power.
