Amid the ongoing allegations against Russell Brand, some celebrities have voiced support for the British comedian.

Over the weekend, Brand became the subject of a joint investigation by The Sunday Times and Channel 4's Dispatches. The investigation saw several women come forward to share accusations against Brand, which included rape, sexual assault, and abusive behavior spanning the years from 2006 to 2013.

Per the reports, one woman using the pseudonym Nadia accused Brand of rape at his Los Angeles home in 2012. After the incident, Brand sent her a text apologizing for his behavior, stating that it was "crazy and selfish."

Another woman, who also maintained her anonymity, claimed that she was groomed by Brand when she was a teenager, and entered into a sexual relationship with the star when she was 16 and he was 30.

She alleged that Brand encouraged her to lie to her family about their relationships, and even removed a condom during sex without her knowledge.

In a video posted to his social media channels prior to the Channel 4 documentary airing, Brand vehemently denied any wrongdoing. He went on to say that while he was admittedly very promiscuous in his past, all of his sexual encounters had been legal and consensual.

He went on to describe the coverage as a "coordinated media attack" - suggesting that it could be in retaliation for his often anti-media speeches.

But despite the damning allegations made against Brand, there are some big names that have shared support for the Forgetting Sarah Marshall Star.

Andrew Tate - the controversial influencer who is currently facing allegations of his own in Romania - shared a meme to Brand, along with the message: "Welcome to the club". The image shows a cartoon of a knight with the caption: "Off to fight some allegations."

And Twitter owner Elon Musk also replied to Brand's video denying the accusations, writing: "Of course. They don’t like competition."

Presumably, the "they" Musk is referring to is the media.

Another big name to throw support behind Brand's denial of the allegations was American conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson.

The former Fox News star also referenced Brand's newfound career as a political activist, tweeting in response to his video: "Criticize the drug companies, question the war in Ukraine, and you can be pretty sure this is going to happen."

Another notable name to speak out has been British journalist and presenter Piers Morgan.

However, rather than actively voicing support for Brand, Morgan has instead praised the investigation, all while urging the public to allow "due process" to take place.

"The allegations against Russell Brand are horrifying, & the investigative reporting behind them exemplary," Morgan tweeted. "BUT he’s denied them & language being used on here - his accusers being labeled ‘victims’ or ‘survivors’ etc - infers guilt + criminality. He's entitled to due process."

Brand has yet to provide another statement following the airing of the Channel 4 documentary.
