Stephen "tWitch" Boss, known for his appearances as the DJ on the Ellen DeGeneres Show has died aged 40, according to reports.
According to reports from TMZ, law enforcement sources claim Boss's wife, Allison Holker, ran to an LAPD station on Tuesday over fears for her husband.
Sources claim she was 'frantic' after finding he had left home without his car, which was out of character, before he was found dead.
He is believed to have died by suicide, although, no official cause of death has been provided at this time.
Police were reportedly called to a hotel in Los Angeles a short time after Holker's report, where Boss had died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Boss had found fame in 2008 after becoming a runner-up on talent show So You Think You Can Dance, before taking on acting roles including in Magic Mike XXL and Blades of Glory.
He was best known for being the DJ on the Ellen Show from 2014, remaining on the talk show until it finished in 2022.
DeGeneres made him an executive producer on the series in 2020 - where viewers knew him as tWitch - and he was a well-loved character with fans.
Boss and Holker had been married since 2013, celebrating their nine-year wedding anniversary on Sunday, just days before his death.
The couple had fronted Disney's Fairytale Weddings on Disney+ together, a documentary series featuring couples and their Disney-themed weddings.
Boss and Holker shared three children - 14-year-old Weslie, who was Holker's daughter from a past relationship who Boss adopted - as well as Maddox, six, and Zaia, three.
The couple, who got married at Nigel Lythgoe's Villa San Juliette Vineyard and Winery in Paso Robles, California, had shared tributes to one another to mark their anniversary.
Holker wrote alongside a montage of photos from the special day: "It’s our 9th anniversary!! I couldn’t be more grateful to celebrate this perfect magical day!!!
"Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life!! I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted! I LOVE YOU #happyanniversary #bosswedding2013."
Boss had also shared sweet snaps of him and his wife, adding: "Happy anniversary my love @allisonholker #9years."
Following news of his death, Holker told People in a statement: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us.
"Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans."
The 34-year-old added: "To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won't be a day that goes by that we won't honor his memory."
Asking for privacy for her and their children to grieve during this "difficult time", Holker ended her statement by saying: "Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you."
