A woman has detailed the story of when she discovered that her husband was cheating on her with a close family member.
Taking to TikTok, interior designer Laci Jane opened up about an incident that happened 14 years ago, just after she had given birth to her daughter and was plagued with health problems.
Laci, who is from Indianapolis, told her 2.7 million followers that it was then that she found out her husband was getting down and dirty with her own mother!
"My mom was living with us, she was staying down in the basement," she said in the clip. "But after several months, she ended up renting a house that was like a block away from us... and my husband and her carpooled [to work] together."
She then went on to state that while she was a little suspicious of their newfound connection, she didn't expect it to be the cause of the pair's separation after what became an extremely heated argument about them spending so much time together.
As a result, her husband moved out of their home and into her mom's rental property while her mom moved in with her and her baby.
"While she was living with me, we started to get close," Laci continued. "She started telling me about all theses times he was cheating on me with all of these different women."
"And she made me promise not to tell him that I heard it from her," she added, to which the betrayed wife agreed to intially, but soon enough, it got too much for her.
"I got in my car, sped out of there and I went to go confront him," she recalled on the video-sharing platform, but when she got there, she soon realized there was more to the story.
"I said, 'Hey, my mom said that you’ve been cheating on me this entire time,'" Laci said to her then-husband. "And he looked me square in the eyes and he said, 'Well, why don’t she tell you what her and I have been doing.'"
Big, fat yikes.
Laci was forced to go home and question her mom, who was clearly guilty.
Her mom was "white" with guilt when she was confronted but she denied any wrongdoing.
"I got out of my car and said, 'I need you to pack your bags and get the f*** out of my house,'" she said before adding: "In her state of panic, she said, '[Your grandmother] knew about all of this, and I’m gonna call her... you’ll see, you’ll see.'"
But Laci could only respond back with: "You know what you’ve done."
In the end, her mom admitted that the pair "held hands" but didn't go any further than that, but for a woman that's already lied, it would be difficult to take her word for it.
However, that wasn't the end of the story because things continued to get worse for the heartbroken mom-of-one as she later discovered that her own grandparents knew that her mom was knoodling with her husband and purposefully kept it from her.
"This entire time, my grandparents - who are like my world, who were there for me my entire life when no one else was - they knew that him and my mom were at least holding hands... and no one told me," she stated.
And her mother's cruelty did not stop there either as Laci said that she "tried to take my house from me... as a now-single mom with failing health issues, with no job, no career, nothing."
Thanksgiving must be super awkward in that household.
Of course, the reaction to the video was incredibly intense, as you can imagine after a story like that.
"I BEG YOUR FINEST PARDON??" wrote one user while another added: "Must be so painful. Two people that you trust so much."
A third also deemed it as the "ultimate betrayal" adding: "I'm so sorry."
