A Canadian TV reporter became the subject of news headlines after appearing to have a medical emergency on live TV on Sunday night (January 8). Since then, she's spoken out about the terrifying ordeal.

The New York Post reported that the incident occurred while Jessica Robb was covering news in Edmonton, Alberta. While relaying information to her colleague Nahreman Issa in the studio, however, the live feed was cut short.

Robb began fumbling her words and having difficulty finishing her sentences, before telling the anchor: "Sorry, Nahreman. I'm not feeling very well right now and I'm about to…..", before swaying slightly as the feed was eventually cut.

After the incident, Issa stated: "We will make sure that Jessica is OK, and we'll give you guys an update a little bit later."

Following significant concern and interest from the public (namely from those attempting to link the incident to the Covid vaccine), Robb released a lengthy statement addressing her apparent medical emergency via CTV Edmonton's Twitter account.

"On Sunday night, a very personal and vulnerable moment unfolded as I reported live on air. Since then, it has been shared thousands of times, along with baseless theories about the cause," she wrote.

Robb received support from many netizens, who called out others for their "baseless claims" about her condition. "Scary stuff to see CTV Edmonton Jessica Robb have a medical issue on air live [praying hands emoji] for quick recovery and Covid conspiracy wingnuts, stop trying to harass her. Believe what you want but don't make baseless claims - neither you or I are doctors and it's none of our business..." one person tweeted.

Fortunately, Robb is doing well and has recovered, though it remains unclear as to when she will be returning to live TV.
