Today marks a week since 19-year-old Jay Slater from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, went missing in Tenerife.

Jay was vacationing with friends and attending the NRG music festival when he disappeared.

On Sunday night, Jay decided to stay out with two British men he met that evening, while his friend, Lucy Mae Law, returned to their shared accommodation.

The following morning, at around 8:15AM, Jay called Lucy Mae, saying he was lost, thirsty, and planning to walk back to their apartment, a journey estimated to take around 10 hours.

Less than an hour later, Lucy Mae reported Jay missing to Spanish authorities.

As the hunt for the missing 19-year-old goes on, Jay's family and friends have flown to Tenerife in order to help authorities with their search.

Now, a witness reported seeing him at one of Tenerife's most popular nightlife spots.

The 20-year-old witness described the scene, telling The Sun: "It was a good atmosphere, it was hard dance music and everybody was having a good time vibing away. I wanted to remember the moment so I started filming, then I saw a lad staggering around in front of me.

"You could see him get up off the ground, everyone turned there to look. They looked a bit concerned. I had no idea it was Jay at first, he was proper worse for wear. He was with a couple of lads and a girl."

Upon learning of Jay's disappearance, the witness reviewed his video and realized it was the missing teenager.

"I looked back at my videos and my blood ran cold, knowing he was gone," he said. "All our mates [had] seen it [news of the disappearance] the next day, we were all shocked."

On Sunday, the search efforts narrowed to a cluster of buildings near the small mountain village of Masca, where Jay was last seen.

Officers from the Guardia Civil focused on two structures at the bottom of a ravine in Rural de Teno Park, examining blue barrels outside one of the buildings.

The area, just a few hundred meters from where Jay's phone last pinged, had already been searched on Thursday.

A police spokesman told The Telegraph: "All lines of investigation are open. There is no more information on the matter."
