An Amazon driver nonchalantly delivering a package during an active police standoff has gone viral on social media.

In a ludicrous video shared on TikTok by user @mlktrk679, an unnamed worker sporting a blue Amazon vest is seen casually walking toward a house in Cary, California, where several police cars are stationed.

While stories of packages going missing or being dumped in trash cans outside houses are often brought to light, this delivery driver wanted to go the extra mile to make sure his parcel was delivered safely to the customer.

Despite the dangerous situation, the courier wasn't about to be discouraged from his parcel-delivering job as he approached the house with the package - while officers are seen looking on in bewilderment.

Watch the moment below:

The cops removed the parcel from his hands to stop him from walking further, and then the lone delivery man took a picture of the house as proof that the parcel has been delivered, before walking back out of the rows of police cars.

The woman filming the hilarious footage - which had an overlay text that read "When you're about your business… nothing will get in your [way]" - can be heard giggling and saying "Amazon hard at work in the middle of a standoff".

The footage amassed 7.3 million views and 1.3 million likes on the social media platform with viewers sharing their reactions to the driver's dedication to getting the package delivered.

One person cleverly wrote: "Now that's what you call AMAZON PRIME."

Another person sent a clear message out to Amazon's owner, writing: "Jeff Bezos, give your employees a raise."

A third user pointed out: "Well they can't say he didn't deliver it... it's all over the internet."

A fourth user remarked: "Amazon should put that in advertisement. 'Nothing will stop us from delivering and I mean NOTHING.'"

According to the New York Post, the Amazon delivery took place as SWAT officers engaged in a 20-hour standoff with an armed suspect.

The armed man had blockaded himself inside the Windsor Apartments - which is on Macedonia Lake Drive at Tryon Village - with his 11-year-old son, in what was described as a hostage situation, as reported by ABC 11.

The heartbreaking incident ended with the unidentified suspect dying by suicide, per Business Insider. The child sustained a gunshot wound but thankfully survived, and also had some "minor" injuries on their arm and neck.

Cary police chief Terry Sult shared a statement (obtained by Business Insider) after the ordeal which read: "I wanted to express my condolences to the family of the individual who was in crisis today. Unfortunately, he took his own life.

"It's easy to focus on the loss today, but we should focus on the 11-year-old, and just be grateful that he is still with us and can return to his family," he added.
