There's been an update on the fundraiser started by Malia Nummerdor's friends after she was arrested and accused of performing a sex act on her family's dog.
The Florida mom of two was recently charged after her husband reported the alleged crime to police, after taking to Facebook to make the heinous claims against her.
Her estranged husband, Erik Nummerdor, claimed to have photo and video evidence of the incident, telling investigators that he had secretly installed two security cameras in the family's home.
As a result, the 38-year-old woman was arrested on September 15, and when questioned by authorities, she admitted that she was under the influence.
Malia couldn't explain what she was doing with the dog, believed to be named Ranger, though she insisted that she had no sexual contact with the animal.
The mom said she was petting it, though it was noted that her answers contradicted themselves on multiple occasions.
The mother's friends recently took to SupportNow to set up a fundraiser, aiming to raise $30,000 for the mom and her sons.
But just days after making it public, the fundraiser has been removed from the website.
They claim in the description that Erik reported the alleged crimes as an act of vengeance, adding that the mom and her sons are 'facing a situation they never imagined'.
On Wednesday evening (September 23), nearly $200 of the total goal was raised; it is currently unclear why the page was taken down.
"Their lives have been turned upside down following a painful and difficult situation involving Malia’s estranged husband and allegations against her that she maintains are untrue," her friends penned.
They went on: "While the legal process takes its course, the immediate reality is that Malia and her boys have all been deeply affected.
"They have been displaced from their home, their normal routines have been disrupted, and Malia is now facing significant legal costs while trying to navigate an incredibly uncertain time."
Those behind the fundraiser explained that the mom grew up as an only child after losing both of her parents at a young age, and that she has needed the support of friends in these tough times.
"She is surrounded by close friends, most of whom she has known for decades, who care deeply about her and are doing everything they can to support her and her family through this situation," it reads.
The fundraiser explains: "Malia is facing serious allegations, and she needs experienced legal representation to ensure that she has the opportunity to fully address them through the proper legal process.
"This situation has also deeply affected her two young sons, who deserve privacy, stability, and as much normalcy as possible while the adults involved work through what comes next."
The Florida mom alleged that Erik installed the cameras without her knowledge and accessed her social media accounts to post images and videos.
Erik said that he was trying to find out who was stealing money from a coin jar, and instead found a disturbing video of his wife with the dog when reviewing the footage.
Malia claimed the recordings were made in 2024 and that Erik had previously threatened her with the same videos.
Pictures of the family dog have since been posted on Facebook.
