Andrew Tate has been vocal about the conditions of his prison cell in Romania - and the latest pest to invade it appears to be supernatural.

The former kickboxer, 36, has been detained since December 2022 after he and his brother Tristan and two others were arrested in connection with an investigation into alleged human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group.

They were initially due to be held for 30 days, however, their confinement has been extended twice, meaning they are being held until the end of March while police build their case.

Tate has previously taken to social media to tell his followers that he had been living with "cockroaches, lice, and bed bugs" but now it seems he has another cell-mate to contend with too - a ghost.

Tate took to Twitter to reveal that he had apparently been battling spirits in his cell, writing: "I was awoken last night by an icy chill and identified a ghost in my prison cell.

"He was terrified and begged me not to annihilate him. I sent him back to hell with a message for the demons. I am always ready."

Tate had previously spoken about sharing his cell with some other unsavory inmates, explaining in an email to his subscribers: "They are trying to break me. Thrown inside a cell without light. Cockroaches, lice, and bed bugs are my only friends at night."

He added: "They are trying to break my Iron Mind with unjust imprisonment. My absolute respect for everyone around me is my act of absolute rebellion. They cannot break me," he said, before claiming that the prison guards know he is "innocent".

Following Tate's arrest, police raided his property and seized money, weapons, and designer watches, as well as removed his luxury car collection.

As formal charges have not been filed, neither Tate nor his brother have entered plea deals while their defense attorney Constantin Ioan Gliga slammed the extended jail ruling as "unjustified and totally exaggerated," contending that they are being penalized for their views rather than "what they actually did in their private lives," per The New York Post.

Tate also maintained his innocence, telling his follower on Twitter on January 19 that police will "never find [any evidence] because we are not guilty".

"They have and will continue to ignore and throw away any and all testimony or hard evidence we are innocent," he continued. "My case isn’t about the truth. This is about Politics."

Before his detainment in prison was extended for a second time, Tate had also tweeted: "My Legal team has done a fantastic job today.

"As of today, the Judges have been given a very close understanding of the Truth behind the allegations against me. True colors were brought to light."

He concluded: "Inshallah, I will be freed."

On the same day of the former Big Brother contestant's imprisonment, police raided his property and seized money, designer watches, and even weapons such as guns, swords, and a hatchet. Investigators were also seen dragging his luxury cars from their villa.

The social media personality also took to his Twitter page to pen his first email to fans since his detention, where he complained about the rough conditions of his prison cell.

The message read: "They are trying to break me. Thrown inside a cell without light. Cockroaches, lice, and bed bugs are my only friends at night."

According to The Sun, Tate has now sent another email to his subscribers, this time moaning about life behind bars. Cited by the outlet, he wrote: "There is only one way to survive in jail. That is with absolute self-control and discipline."

"In jail, your daily pleasures are extremely small. Phone calls and hot coffee," he continued. "When you wake up, you will naturally want to grab a nice hot coffee and make your phone calls."

"But this is an amateur mistake. Your daily pleasures are limited, if you use it up the first thing in the morning you are doomed to a day of misery," he added.

According to the publication, the infamous internet star explained that "to counter this" he "puts obstacles in" his way - 550 push-ups, 100 dips, four liters of waters, and 200 squats.

"I have a list to complete before my coffee or phone calls begin," he said, concluding, "Without self-control, jail would be 100x worse. Much like real life."

The email follows a message the self-dubbed "king of toxic masculinity" posted on February 5, declaring that he would never take his own life.

"I would never kill myself," Tate ominously penned. This led many of his devoted followers to believe that he is in danger in prison and tweeted this to defend himself as one user responded: "We knew that! If something happens to you, we know the deal."

As previously mentioned, Tate will remain in Romanian custody until February 27.

Andrew Tate is set to be held in prison in Romania for a further 30 days after his detention period was extended, despite claiming he was set to be 'freed'.

The former kickboxer and his brother Tristan are currently being held in Romania while police investigate accusations of sexual assault and exploitation of women, while two women detained at the same time are currently under house arrest. All four deny the allegations.

The Tate brothers were arrested on December 29, 2022, when the social media personality's assets were raided and Romanian authorities said they had seized goods and money worth almost £3.25 million ($3.9 million) from his home, including his luxury car collection.

Per Sky News reports, the brothers' detention has now been extended for another 30 days as the investigation continues.

The news comes after Tate had earlier tweeted claiming that he was set to be freed, telling his followers: "My Legal team has done a fantastic job today.

"As of today, the Judges have been given a very close understanding of the Truth behind the allegations against me. True colors were brought to light."

He concluded: "Inshallah, I will be freed."

Tate was arrested in December on charges of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group. It was claimed that the Tates had lured women in under the guise of seducing them and falsely claiming they wanted a relationship with them, before allegedly forcing them to create pornographic content.

The former Big Brother contestant is also accused of raping one of the women early last year.

He was initially due to be held for 30 days - which would mean he was released at the end of January - however, Romanian officials extended it to an extra 30 days until February 27 so they could build their case. It has now been confirmed it will be extended again for another 30 days to follow.

Despite being in jail, Tate has communicated with his followers via Twitter as well as describing life in his cell.

He told his followers about the rough conditions, writing: "They are trying to break me. Thrown inside a cell without light. Cockroaches, lice, and bed bugs are my only friends at night."

Andrew Tate has posted a bizarre video and cryptic message while under house arrest following his release from jail.

The controversial 36-year-old masculinity influencer and his brother Tristan were originally taken into custody on December 29, 2022, by Romania's Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT). The brothers were arrested with two women in connection with the same case.

After being held for 30 days, the brothers had their time held in custody extended several times. Their appeals to be released had also been denied.

Despite the pair having been released from prison and placed on house arrest by Romanian officials, they are still under investigation over allegations of crimes relating to sexual assault, exploitation, organized crime, and human trafficking. Neither Tate or his brother has been formally charged with any crime as of this time and they are not allowed to exit their home unless granted special permission to leave.

Since his release, Tate made a statement about the situation, saying: "I have no resentment in my heart for the country of Romania, or for anybody else. I just believe in the truth. So I believe in God and I think that the fire of truth will eventually destroy all lies and anybody who lies in a long enough timeframe will feel the sting of regret.

"I truly believe that justice will be served in the end. There is 0 percent chance of me being found guilty of something I have not done. I maintain my absolute innocent innocence. I think most people understand this and I look forward to being home, so thank you so much," he added. "When I was in jail, I did 7,417 push ups."

The divisive internet personality - who has made many misogynistic statements, including that women should bear responsibility for being raped - has posted a bizarre clip of himself strolling around his home while smoking a cigar.

In the caption of the video, Tate wrote: "Since last year ive been in 24 hour lockdown. No yard time. Pacing a 3metre cell with zero electronics or outside contact. Absolute clarity of mind. Real thoughts. Real plans. Vivid pain. One hour home and I cant stand my phone. Some habits die hard. We must defeat Shaytan [sic]."

The former boxer also posted a tweet about how he was "surrounded by impeccable men" and how he was "facing the largest battles", writing: "In a jail cell for an unknown period of time. Facing the largest of battles. It was the perfect time for any traitors on my team to betray me. But my team remained solid. Flawless. I am the perfect judge of character. Surrounded by impeccable men Teams like mine cannot lose."

Tate has consistently denied the allegations against him and even argued that these claims have been conjured up to silence him.
