New life of teacher who had '3 hour s*x marathon' with teen student in husband's bed as chilling texts emerge
The new life of a former US teacher who admitted to having a sexual relationship with an underage student has emerged along with the text messages she had exchanged with the pupil she’d once taught.
McKenna Kindred, a former high school teacher in Washington State, pleaded guilty in 2024 after engaging in a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.
Yet, despite the criminal case and her dismissal as a teacher, she and her husband, lawyer Kyle Kindred, are said to have remained together.
According to court documents, the relationship allegedly began in June 2022 after the teenager found Kindred's Instagram account, with their online conversations allegedly developing into explicit messages, photographs, and videos.
The investigators later uncovered exchanges that prosecutors claimed breached the boundaries of a teacher-student relationship.
The illicit messages exchanged between the couple have been revealed
In one message, Kindred reportedly told the student: "I was sad when you had to leave my room… when other girls talk about you in my class I could feel myself getting mad."
She also allegedly confessed: "I really like being touched by you,” with the teenager responding with the message, "Mom glad I can satisfy you," which Kindred reportedly liked.
In another exchange, the student asked whether she had used a sex toy while thinking about him, with Kindred allegedly replying, "I did," before joking about their conversations on Snapchat, saying: "Hm next time I need to relearn Snapchat haha."
According to the student's account, after the pair eventually arranged to meet while Kindred’s husband was away, he arrived at the house, and the pair initially watched a film and kissed before engaging in sexual activity in both the bedroom and living room.
Although Washington State law allows some sexual activity between people aged 16 and older, separate rules prohibit teachers and other authority figures from engaging in sex with students under 18.
The relationship was revealed after the teenager's friends became aware of the messages and shared screenshots with school officials, with the student's mother, Ashley Beckley, also reportedly discovering explicit images and videos exchanged between them.
Kindred was arrested in December 2022 and later pleaded guilty to charges including first-degree sexual misconduct, second-degree sexual misconduct with a minor, and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.
She apologized in court to the student and his family, acknowledging the damage her actions had caused, stating, "Because of my actions, I lost my career, valuable friendships, and my freedom. I disappointed many people who trusted me," she admitted.
In a further statement, she expressed remorse for the distress surrounding the case, saying: "I am truly sorry for my actions."
She added: "I know that this past year has been enormously stressful for all involved... I am deeply ashamed of the pain I have caused."
Kindred was consequently sentenced to two years of probation, fined $700, and ordered to register as a sex offender for 10 years, and while she avoided a prison sentence, the case brought her career in education to an end.
Kindred's alleged new life
Despite her infidelity and legal convictions, Kindred and her husband reportedly continued their relationship, and around three months after she was sentenced, the couple jointly purchased a house in Idaho, with the pair now reportedly living in Kuna, near Boise, within commuting distance of the area where Kyle works as a lawyer.
While it remains unclear whether Kindred has found another job since leaving teaching, reports state that she surrendered her teaching license following an investigation by education authorities.
