A second elderly woman has gone missing in the same area as Nancy Guthrie, and the Pima County Sheriff’s Office has issued an appeal.
Nancy Guthrie has now been missing for nearly 50 days, with little development to report in recent times.
Nancy Guthrie has been missing from Pima County since February 1
Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of TODAY host Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since the beginning of February when she failed to turn up at a friend’s house.
Every message sent out by the FBI and Pima County law enforcement about the case has been scrutinized, none more so than a post they shared on March 19 about a second woman who has gone missing.
The second missing woman is Sally Ann Farina
Sally Ann Farina has been reported missing in the area, having last been seen on March 14 near to Northwest Medical Center.
The post adds: “Her clothing description at the time she was last seen is unknown.”

Despite the admission that she left on her own in the post, many have questioned whether this is related or not.
It’s likely that it isn’t, but that hasn’t stopped the speculation.
One comment read: “Is this connected to Nancy Guthrie?”
Another said: “WOW. Another elderly lady gone missing in Pima County? Something isn’t right.”
It’s not clear whether the case is related or not - probably not - but the case of Nancy Guthrie is still at the forefront of people’s minds, and the public want answers.

Everything we know so far about the Nancy Guthrie case (as of March 19, 2026)
- Nancy Guthrie, 84, the mother of TODAY show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, disappeared from her home in Catalina Foothills, near Tucson, Arizona, overnight between January 31 and February 1, 2026.
- She was last seen on the evening of January 31 after being dropped home by family, and was reported missing the following day when she failed to attend church.
- Investigators quickly determined she was likely abducted, with authorities stating there were clear signs she 'did not leave on her own.'
- Evidence at the scene included blood found outside her home and tampering with her doorbell/security camera system.
- Surveillance footage showed a masked, armed man approaching the property and interfering with the camera in the early hours of February 1.
- Data suggests a tight timeline: the camera was disabled, a figure appeared shortly after, and her pacemaker app lost connection within minutes — indicating a rapid, coordinated incident.
- Authorities believe the abduction was targeted rather than random, and have been investigating whether the suspect may have scoped out the home in the weeks prior.
- Neighbours reported seeing a suspicious man in the area in the weeks leading up to the disappearance.
- Ransom messages demanding millions in cryptocurrency were sent after her disappearance, though investigators have not confirmed whether they are credible.
- Multiple pieces of forensic evidence have been examined, including gloves found near the scene — but one key DNA lead was ruled out after it matched a local restaurant worker unrelated to the case.
- Other DNA samples and physical evidence remain under analysis, with investigators reviewing large amounts of surveillance footage.
- Additional camera footage recovered from the property and surrounding area has not captured the actual abduction or yielded a clear suspect.
- Investigators have explored several potential leads, including a damaged utility box and possible internet disruptions near the home on the night she disappeared.
- The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department are jointly leading the investigation, which remains active but with few public breakthroughs.
- The Guthrie family has offered a reward of up to $1 million for information, as public appeals for help continue.
- As of mid-March, the case has entered its seventh week with no arrests, no confirmed suspects, and no verified sightings of Nancy Guthrie.
- Law enforcement officials have warned the suspect could pose an ongoing risk, while maintaining that the case is still progressing behind the scenes.
- The investigation has also come under growing public scrutiny, with criticism of how it has been handled and calls for accountability from local officials.
- Nancy Guthrie’s whereabouts — and whether she is still alive — remain unknown.
