Surprising update on relationship between teacher and lawyer after she had a ‘3-hour sex marathon’ with 17-year-old student in their bed
More than two years after a high school teacher slept with a student in her marital bed, it has been revealed that her husband has chosen to stay with her despite the sickening betrayal.
McKenna Kindred, 27, admitted in front of a court that she had been having an affair with a 17-year-old student while her husband was away on hunting trips.
The twisted teacher claimed that she repeatedly snuck the student into the apartment she shared with her husband in Spokane, Washington, before pleading guilty to first-degree sexual misconduct and inappropriate communication with a minor in March 2024.
McKenna's husband has stayed with her despite the criminal charges she faces
Although the age of consent in Washington State is 16, adults can be charged if they have sex with children in their care, up to the age of 18.
Despite being arrested and later forced to join the sex offenders register for ten years, complete a year of probation and a two-year suspended sentence, McKenna’s husband Kyle stayed with his wife, and according to social media, the couple is reportedly still together today.
The couple is even believed to have stayed at Kyle’s parents' $1 million property in a rural village in the hills south of Spokane until they moved to Idaho, where they bought a house of their own for $498,000 in June 2024.
Thankfully, his reputation does not seem to have been too damaged by his wife’s major misdemeanors, as Kyle started a new job as an associate real estate lawyer at Holland & Hart in August 2024.
His bio on the company’s website reads: “Kyle provides legal insight on complex real estate transactions, including due diligence, compliance, and research.
“He assists clients in the acquisition, sale, financing, and development of large-scale commercial, residential, industrial, and agricultural real property developments.”
McKenna voluntarily gave up her teaching license
The couple’s move to Idaho stirred up drama over her teaching license as the state's Professional Standards Commission had to decide if she should leave her profession because of her charges against minors.
The commission opened an investigation into her shortly after the move as it “received an allegation of unethical conduct”.
The body wrote: “Allegations were made that Ms Kindred surrendered her Washington educator certification and pled guilty [to the charges].”
According to a document signed in August 2024, McKenna voluntarily gave up her teaching licence in response to the investigation.
However, it is unclear whether the investigation was launched because McKenna attempted to get a teaching job in her new state or if it was just a preventative measure.
