A woman has died following a tragic fall from a parking structure in Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

As reported by the New York Post, the incident occurred on Saturday evening (February 18), with local police being alerted after the woman's lifeless body was found next to the seven-story Mickey and Friends Parking Structure. It is the second death at the parking garage in the span of three months.

Sergeant Jon McClintock from the Anaheim police had told the press that officers responded to the scene at approximately 6:50PM and immediately provided the unidentified woman with aid until the Anaheim Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene.

At this time, it is not known whether or not the woman "jumped off or fell from" the structure, which was erected in the year 2000 and can hold more than 10,000 cars.

After the unnamed woman was rushed to a nearby hospital, she was pronounced dead.

An investigation is now underway, as it remains unknown whether or not the woman was a guest or employee at the Disneyland Resort.

Per The Independent, this is not the first time a death has occurred at the parking structure.

In December 2022, it was reported that a 51-year-old man had died by suicide after jumping from the same parking lot. He was later revealed to be Chris Christensen, an elementary school principal and the son of longtime Disney director James "Jim" Christensen.

In a lengthy post on Facebook prior to his passing, Christensen revealed that he had been involved in an argument with his wife that eventually led to him being arrested and placed in jail.

The Daily Mail reports that he had been charged with misdemeanor counts of child endangerment and battery and was due to appear in court the following week.

At least three others have lost their lives at the garage since it opened 23 years ago, The Independent adds.

Our thoughts go out to everybody impacted by this tragedy.
