Metallica may be known for their legendary heavy metal tracks, but one recent concertgoer was more a fan of Rock 'n' Rollover.

The iconic band shattered attendance records at their electrifying two-night performance last weekend at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. And while big-name stars like Jason Momoa and John Travolta were among the crowd, one particular attendee had fans and the band doing double takes - a dog named Storm.

Storm, the four-legged Metallica aficionado, was spotted at one of the legendary concerts. Initially reported as being abandoned by the Animal Health & Wellness Organization in a Facebook post, it later emerged that the adventurous husky had actually snuck out of her home to attend the nearby event.

Taking to social media to clarify the situation, Metallica wrote in a Facebook post of their own: "You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for #M72LA!

"Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to @sofistadium and made her way to the gig all by herself. After a full night taking in the show with her #MetallicaFamily, Storm was safely reunited with her actual family the next day."

The band humorously added that Storm enjoyed some of her favorite jams, saying: "She had a great time listening to her favorite songs, including ‘Barx Æterna,’ ‘Master of Puppies,’ and ‘The Mailman That Never Comes.’"

But despite the hilarious story, the band also issued an important warning to all future concertgoers, writing: "And in case you were wondering, no. You definitely shouldn’t bring your furry friends to the #M72 World Tour. But this dog sure did have her day."

The pup's owner, Arizbeth Hurtado, who lives just a stone's throw away from SoFi Stadium, revealed the joyful reunion to PetHelpful: “She is home and safe! We learned something new about her… she is apparently a huge Metallica fan who decided to sneak out for the concert!”

In response to the photograph posted by the Animal Health & Wellness Organization, Hurtado exclaimed: "We were laughing so hard when we saw she was SITTING IN AN ACTUAL SEAT AT THE CONCERT."

The Animal Health & Wellness Organization confirmed that Storm is safe and well, writing in an update: "After this dog was seen sitting in a seat @sofi during the Metallica Concert, the pup was taken to a nearby shelter by Animal Services.

"The next day someone who lives in area claimed the pup stating he escaped from their yard. Based on the owner's Facebook page, the dog looks cared for and loved. Thank you to everyone who helped to share the post. Happy that the dog found its way home."

While Metallica fans are reminded that dogs should stay at home rather than joining the #M72 World Tour, humans can get their hands on tickets for upcoming shows here.
