The wife of Ayres Sasaki - the singer who was electrocuted and tragically killed on stage - has shared a message following her husband's tragic death.

As previously reported, 35-year-old Sasaki died on stage during a performance in Brazil.

The accident occurred on July 13 in Salinópolis when a fan in soaking-wet clothes hugged him, leading to a fatal electric shock from nearby cables.

Other reports indicate Sasaki may have been playing his guitar when the electrocution occurred.

While the exact circumstances are still being determined, the shock was powerful enough to cause his death almost instantly.

Ayres' aunt, Rita Matos, spoke to local media following the incident, saying: "What we know is that his show was scheduled for a specific time and was moved up, but we are contacting people who were with him at the moment to understand how everything happened.

"We will gather all the information in a statement that we will release to the press."

The Solar Hotel, where the concert took place, issued a statement expressing their condolences and commitment to assisting authorities: "We are fully dedicated to providing support to his family and taking the necessary measures.

"We reaffirm our commitment to fully cooperating with the competent authorities for the proper clarification of the events."

Mariana Sasaki, Ayres' wife, addressed the tragic event on Instagram for the first time since the news broke.

In an Instagram story, she said, as quoted by Istoe Gente: "I would like to thank you for every message of affection and comfort, for every prayer during this difficult time that we are going through.

"It is not up to us to understand God’s plans, but it is certain that His will is always good, perfect, and pleasing.

"I ask that you continue to pray. Our sustenance will come through God, prayers, friends, and family. I haven’t been able to read all the messages yet, but as I feel better, I will respond to each one. Thank you."

Sasaki was not only a talented performer but also had a passion for architecture and urban planning. His friends and loved ones fondly remember his musical talent and kind heart.

"We were friends in daily life, beyond music. A super charismatic guy, his talent was incredible. He was the best singer and guitarist in Belem," said Adriano Freitas, a fellow singer.

"A great friend, very family-oriented, attentive to his friendships, and to those who appreciated his work."

Comedian Natto Almeida added: "What will definitely stand out about Sasaki is his good heart, very polite. I think this will be the lasting mark he leaves behind."

The investigation into Sasaki's sudden death is ongoing.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time.
