It is safe to say that most of the headlines recently have been rather grim - and being stuck indoors isn't really helping to stave away the boredom. But now we have something to look forward to as a Super Flower Moon and Eta Aquarids meteor shower are taking place this week.
What's more, is that both of these events are totally visible to the naked eye so there's no need to invest in a telescope!
Relive the historic moment Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon:According to NASA, "The Eta Aquarids are pieces of debris from Halley’s Comet, which is a well-known comet that is viewable from Earth approximately every 76 years."
"Also known as 1P/Halley, this comet was last viewable from Earth in 1986 and won't be visible again until the middle of 2061."
NASA said that if you want to view the meteor shower, the best way to do it is to lie on your back and look straight up at the sky. The best time to view the shower is on Tuesday night when there will be up to 40 or more per hour. The celestial display will peak at around 1:20 am UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).
These particular meteors are famous for their speed and will leave a trail of glowing debris behind them when they enter the Earth's atmosphere.

Then there's the Super Flower Moon, which is scheduled to make its appearance on May 7 as 2020's fourth and final supermoon.
As per Forbes, the Super Flower Moon will be completely illuminated at 10:45 UTC.
It's known as a super moon because, during its orbit, it will be at its closest point to the Earth - making it seem particularly large and bright.
The super moon got its name from early Native Americans.
"Going by the seasons, as the second full Moon of spring, the Native American tribes of the northeastern United States called this the Flower Moon, as flowers are abundant this time of year in most of these areas," NASA said.
"Other names include the Corn Planting Moon or the Milk Moon."

If you want to catch a glimpse of the super moon, the best time to do it is when it's close to the horizon because it will appear larger as it rises out of buildings and other landmarks.
There won't be another supermoon again until 2021.
