Life for school children is more than a little different in 2020 as a result of the ongoing pandemic. This can make once ordinary things like learning more tricky and, for some kids, scary.

However, there are some teachers who are getting seriously creative to overcome this problem in a fun way to create safe, socially distanced classrooms.

These creative teachers turned the desks in their class into socially distanced jeeps:

News of these brilliant creations comes after the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention announced its new considerations for schools to help stop the spread of the virus.

These guidelines include having small class sizes, objects not being shared between students and teachers, and the regular cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched areas.

Now, as anyone who has ever worked around children will attest, they love fun, and it can make even the most boring of lessons interesting (trust me, I used to teach high school Shakespeare).

That's why I can really appreciate the genius of the teacher in China who decided to help her students socially distance by having them wear fairy wings. What kid wouldn't want to do this?!

Then there's this fun hand sanitizer dispenser, which operates like something straight out of an amusement park. Perfect for children and the ideal way to encourage them to stay safe at all times.

However, some teachers have decided to go much further than the odd fun addition and have given their classrooms complete themes, which, in my opinion, is a great way to keep the students distracted from the severity of the situation.

Case in point, this teacher, who created a beach theme for their classroom.

This teacher, unlike the others featured so far, did something totally eye-catching with their desk and turned it into what I can only describe as a coronavirus proof pod. The students will definitely be keeping a keen eye on this.

We can only hope that she did something fun with the kids' desks too.

Last up, we have these brilliant socially distanced "book boats", which not only are encouraging these children to read, but they are keeping them safe at the time time.

Hopefully, these creative teachers will inspire others to follow suit and make classroom life a bit more enjoyable for kids during this difficult time!

In these difficult times, we have all learned how to adapt in order to keep ourselves and others health -
