The best friend of a 19-year-old whose body was found on the side of the highway has opened up about the night the teenager tragically died.
As previously reported, last September, Noah Presgrove was discovered deceased next to the rural US 81 highway in Jefferson County, Oklahoma.
It's been established that before the tragedy, the teen attended a Labor Day party with friends, which reportedly took place a mile away from where his lifeless body was located on the morning of September 4 by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper.
Presgrove reportedly told his friends that he was leaving the party to go for a walk but couldn’t find one of his shoes so he took another instead. He was found the following day naked, sporting only mismatched shoes.

More than eight months after the horrific event, a full autopsy report was released by the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner Leonardo Roquero.
The document, obtained by PEOPLE, revealed stomach-curdling details about the injuries Noah sustained in the hours before he died.
According to the file, he had a split skull, swollen and lacerated brain, and broken ribs. He also died from “multiple blunt force injuries” to the head, neck, torso, and other extremities. Furthermore, the skin on the left side of his scalp was ripped off to the bone, and hair and skin were found in the middle of the highway.
In addition to this, other dreadful injuries include broken upper and lower teeth "with few fragments and found inside the mouth" and others were scattered across the road several feet from his body.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Jack Newton - who has known Noah since preschool - recalled the night of his best friend's mysterious death, saying: “It just seemed like he was drunk, passed out on the side of the road when I first seen him.
“He was laying on his side. His knees were kind of pulled up to his chest a little,” he continued, adding that Noah was “right by” the white traffic line of the rural roadside.
The teen was found by Tyler Hardy, a local trucker and one of two 911 callers. Tyler asked Jack if he knew Noah when he arrived that morning and pulled the stunned 19-year-old away from the scene.
Jack then returned to his truck and called his dad to meet him. Afterward, “it's kind of blurry,” he says of the minutes that followed.
Noah spent the Labor Day weekend with his friends and then attended a party that was crowded with young adults from Texas who were strangers to Noah and most of the others, according to Jack.
The teen claimed that before he went to bed at 2AM on September 4, he put his thermal rifle in his truck and put his ATV keys in the bedroom so that no one would shoot or drive drunk. But Jack says an hour or so later, his friend seized the keys and a group rode in his ATV.
Other partygoers who refused to be interviewed alleged to Jack that Noah became unhappy after two female friends snubbed him. He decided to change into Jack’s wrestling shorts and wear mismatched shoes before leaving the home at 3:30AM to "cool off".
"Their house is damn near half a mile from the road. Nobody expected him to walk to the highway," Jack said.
Later, another partygoer - whose dad denied an interview request on her behalf - shared a post on social media that Noah was "missing" along with two spiral-eyed emojis. However, she explained after that she did not know the "worst was gonna happen," and that "Noah would never come back".
In the hours after Noah was found naked and injured on the side of the road, several people who attended the party showed up at the horrific scene after Jack informed them of the devastating news.
Reportedly, Jack moved the shorts Noah was wearing before he died and put them in his truck to make sure they did not blow away with the passing traffic. According to the outlet, the investigators are aware of this.
Much of the validity of Noah's final hours is still clouded by contending accounts, speculation, and rumors that have affected his best friends Jack and Caleb - who say they are skeptical of foul play - and the people who were at the party.
"I can't believe that any of them could even know that something happened and not say something," Caleb said, per the outlet. "There was no evidence of any kind of a beat up, no evidence of any kind of the big stuff that everybody's talking about. It's just all made up."
Meanwhile, Jack believes that his late friend tragically died due to a freak accident.
"To me, it seems like he asked somebody for a ride [and] fell out of the back of the truck... I don't know. Something like that," he explained.
He added that “random people throwing around my name and running [his side of the story] down really don’t hurt my feelings too bad".
“It’s just the people that have known me and Noah forever and were around,” he shared. “That’s the people that get to me.”
