18 of the most ridiculous reasons that brides cancelled their weddings

As anyone who has a propensity for romantic films will attest to, people have the strangest of reasons for jilting their lover at the altar. Whether it's due to last minute cold feet or something a little darker, it's clear that some people just get freaked out by the concept of life-long commitment. And sure, there is a lot to fear. With divorce rates doubling, and more and more people choosing to make the leap later in life, marriage has become somewhat of an outdated concept. Certainly, Millennials are saying "no" to tying the knot in record numbers. Whilst our parents thought it was perfectly normal to enter into the institution of marriage in their early twenties, we eschew settling down with a near religious fervour. As such, it's become common to hear horror stories of those who very nearly make it to the chapel... only to pull out at the last minute. So let's take a look at some of the most ridiculous reasons why people chose to cancel their weddings, shall we?

Tying the knot is truly quite an undertaking, and so it is essential to evaluate where you are in your relationship and whether it is feasible for you to remain with this person, till death does you part...
