While us older folk may recognise
Alec Baldwin from his appearances in cult-classic films such as Beetlejuice and Working Girl, the younger generation are probably more familiar with the hilarious impression he did of
Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live.
The NBC sketch show reached peak satire during the 2016 Presidential election, when former Apprentice star and billionaire businessman Donald Trump decided to take on the former Secretary of State and political veteran,
Hillary Clinton.
Playing against Kate McKinnon, who was impeccable as the former First Lady Hillary Clinton, Alex Baldwin was hilarious as the Presidential candidate, and he
totally nailed the impersonation, incorporating everything from Trump's infamous "doh's" and sniffles, to his hatred for American comedian and actress, Rosie O'Donnell.
I mean, just check out the video below, it's sure to have you in stitches of laughter:

While Donald Trump naturally wasn't best pleased by Baldwin's impersonation, the 59-year-old actor has claimed that he has one rather big fan in the White House, and it's none other than the current First Lady of the United States, and Donald Trump's wife,
Melania Trump.
In an interview with WNYC radio's Brian Lehrer, the Beetlejuice star claimed that Melania Trump is an unlikely fan of his Donald Trump skit. "Someone told me, who's friends with someone in the White House or formerly in the White House, that Melania Trump loves 'SNL' and [that] she loves my impression," he said.
But Baldwin went even further, alleging that Melania had told the unnamed source that she agreed that his impression was dead on. The person purportedly told Baldwin that Melania had said that "that's exactly what he's like".
And the actor himself added that Trump is "horrified and beside himself that his wife actually thinks it’s funny."
Baldwin has not yet named his anonymous source, prompting the White House to hit back at his claim. Speaking from the office of Melania Trump's director of communications, Stephanie Grisham told Newsweek that "[It] is not true, which is why Mr. Baldwin has no actual names to go with his bizarre assertion."
The 45th President of the United States has repeatedly made his displeasure at Alec Baldwin's impersonation clear. During the run up to the Presidential election, he took to Twitter to roast the actor. He wrote: "Just tried watching Saturday Night Live - unwatchable! Totally biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonation just can't get any worse. Sad."

However, Baldwin was unfazed. He simply replied "Release your tax returns and I'll stop. Ha."

While you wouldn't expect Melania Trump to have a sense of humour about her husband being ridiculed live on television, who knows?
In other news, in response to the tragedy at Sutherland Springs,
Donald Trump has asserted that the shooting is a "mental health" issue and that it has nothing to do with guns.
