We can all agree that dogs are one of the best things to happen to us, right? The only bad thing about them, is they don't live as long as they deserve.
They're always happy to see us, always ready to party, and seem to know exactly how to cheer us up when we are feeling a little low!
But when they leave us, it can be truly heartbreaking. That is exactly what was experienced by Emmie Nielsen, 23, from London, United Kingdom.
Emmie took to TikTok to share the experiences of her 12-year-old Staffy cross, Molly, during her final day.
Two months previous, Emmie had received the news that Molly had cancerous tumors, and putting her down would be the most humane course of action.
During the video, Emmie takes her beloved companion on a final day out, which is packed full of her favorite things to do.
The duo began the day in McDonald's, where Molly is treated to a cheeseburger and a McFlurry, which she eats very enthusiastically, getting some stuck on her nose in the process.
The next stop was the pet store, where Molly was rightfully the center of attention and she picked out her final treat, which she demolishes there and then on the floor of the store.
They then make their way to Molly's favorite spot - the local park, where she wastes no time rolling on her back and has one final "butt scratch" on the grass, looking completely carefree.
But then it's time to say goodbye. The four-legged companion says a final farewell to her best friend, before doing the same to her two "beloved sisters."
She then takes her place under a tree, which is dubbed her "last stop" by Emmie.
Naturally, the comments are full of well-wishers and other heartbroken individuals who have just lived Molly's final day with her.
One user commented: "I balled my eyes out. So sorry for your loss Rest peacefully and run freely sweet baby š¾ā¤ļøš" and another added: "As sad as this is, that doggo had a happy life, you can see it specially [sic] at the pet store. š„ŗš„ŗš„ŗ."
A third said: "Such a beautiful baby. Thank you for giving her a wonderful life. So sorry for your loss" and a fourth offered sympathies: "May her beautiful soul rest in peace."
It looked like Molly was incredibly well-loved. Our hearts go out to her family.
