These days, there's more than enough bad headlines, which is why we at VT are committed to brightening your days during this difficult time with as many fun, lighthearted entertainment news stories as we can - and what could be better than watching a man demonstrate how he wakes up his blind and deaf dog without scaring her?
Plum, a 10-month-old Australian shepherd, was born with disabilities that can make her life harder than it is for most dogs. But luckily, she's got the perfect human, Aiden Michael Man, to help meet her special needs.
He revealed that waking her up from a nap is no easy task, as she'd often get startled, but now he's worked out the perfect way to do it without scaring her.

Unsurprisingly, the video above has melted hearts around the world, and at the time of writing, it has been viewed more than 496K times on Instagram alone.
In an interview with Bored Panda, when asked why he adopted a dog who'd need extra special care, Aiden said: "She was just a happy pup and I knew Lola (my other dog) and I would make a great home for her. It wasn't really a hard decision to make, she deserved a loving home and a happy life."
This dog played dead during its lockdown walks to avoid going home:

The trick to taking Plum up is adorably simple. Aiden simply blows on her nose, startling her ever so slightly. She then searches for him as she wakes up, and snuggles soon commence.
Aiden explained how she got her name: "My coworker that was fostering her actually named her and I loved it so we kept it."
The adorable video was first posted to TikTok, where it received astronomically more attention than on Instagram, and Bored Panda reports that it's been viewed in excess of 54 million times.
"I had no idea it would get this many views," Aiden said. "I was blown away when I went back and checked TikTok and saw her video going viral."
The general consensus in the TikTok comment section was that people would die for Plum, and we have to agree.
