Indian police were called to the scene of a bank robbery on Wednesday, only to discover that the suspect was, quite literally, carrying out some monkey business.
The incident took place in New Delhi at a State Bank of India ATM, a ten-minute walk from the palace, when an ATM machine was ripped clean off a wall.
In a bid to identify the culprit, the police reviewed CCTV footage from the area, only to discover that the ATM had actually been ripped off by a monkey.

In the footage above, the monkey, which is believed to be one of the city's native Rhesus Macaques, can be seen climbing up to the machine and tugging on it.
The machine then falls open and the monkey climbs inside to have a look. This involved the monkey looking curiously at a piece of plastic and sniffing it before bouncing up and down on the open ATM lid.
However, while the monkey might have been successfully identified as the robber of this bank, it's not known how it managed to access the ATM, which is behind a glass door with a handle, or how it managed to get back out again.
Per the Daily Mail, a source said: "A banker who arrived at the kiosk found it broken and raised an alarm suspecting it to be a case of robbery.
"The CCTV footage was examined later which unearthed the mischief of the primate."
The news outlet reported that there are an estimated 4,000 and 5,000 Rhesus Macaques living in New Delhi and they have a reputation for causing chaos.
Some of the acts of monkey business that have been a problem in the city include the theft of food, power lines being snapped, and in some instances, monkeys have even attacked passersby.
