As a writer, I am fully aware of the dangers a typo can cause. Fortunately, if I misspell a celebrity's name or use a colon instead of a semi-colon, I'm usually just roasted in the comments section. But for one young dog walker, a very unfortunate typo resulted in a rather explicit miscommunication.
As reported by The Sun, a 19-year-old animal lover called Lucy has been left inundate with "disgusting" messages after a printing error resulted in her unknowingly advertising for "dog w**king" services.
Per the UK-based news outlet, Lucy, Suffolk, England, decided to place an advertisement for her dog walking business - Lead The Way - in local parish publication, Eye Magazine.

However, in a Facebook post, Lucy's mom explains that despite proofreading the advert, it was still printed with the unfortunate blunder. The mother wrote:
"[Lucy] started her business in September and has advertised locally but wanted to build her business so trusted the Eye magazine to be the next best step. Lucy and I designed and proofed the advert together with the Editor so we know exactly what was printed. From this to printing it has been re-worded.
"The unbelievable and horrendous situation we now find ourselves in is that it has gone viral, you can only imagine the amount of calls, texts and emails. Many of which are supportive (thank you) but many disgusting."
Sadly, it wasn't long before the ad to be circulated on social media:

Despite the blunder, the family is trying to see the positives, and Hignett has revealed in a Facebook post that she is hoping that all the attention "will turn into a positive situation".

On the Lead The Way Facebook page, Lucy writes: "Thank you to everyone who has shown support to me and my business. Even though it is very difficult at this time I appreciate many of your kind words. Hopefully this will turn into a positive situation".

From all the pictures of the happy dogs Lucy shares from her walks, we're positive business will be booming in no time! Good luck Lucy!
In a statement from Eye Magazine, editor Chris Willoughby said: "The printer and I have both expressed our sincere apologies. We will be instituting more rigorous procedures."
