Hilarious moment guard dog in training fails test by taking a nap during fake armed robbery is caught on CCTV
A hilarious video of a guard dog in training failing a test by taking a nap during a fake armed robbery has circulated on social media this week.
According to BoredPanda, the incident in question occurred during a fake police exercise held in Thailand, when cops staged a raid of Worawut Lomwanawong's jewelry store to train staff on how to react if they were held at gunpoint by thieves.
For the sake of her own safety, Worawut purchased a large husky named Lucky to guard the premises - hoping that the hound's presence alone would be enough to deter potential robbers.
However, as the CCTV footage below shows, when push came to shove, Lucky didn't exactly excel in her guard dog roll.
Instead, the video clearly shows Lucky lying recumbent on the floor of the shop in front of the counter when the fake armed robber bursts into the room and demands jewelry and money from the cash register.
Despite the noise and commotion, Lucky continued to sleep right through the staged robbery and the hapless hound was still snoozing peacefully when the police accomplice walked out the door laden with spoils.
The hilarious moment was captured on the store's security cam, and Worawut found it so amusing that it was later uploaded to the Thai Facebook page "Lovely Fake Dog," where the video's caption translates as:
"When a thief comes to rob a gold shop. Your heart won't help you. Lucky!!! P.S. The police replicate the incident of robbing the gold shop. It's not really a robbery. [sic]"
Commenting on the incident in a later interview with BoredPanda, Worawut stated: "This was Thai police training of what it would be like if a thief came into my store and stole all the jewelry.
"The armed robber in this video is a policeman that my dog Lucky already knew; maybe that’s why she did nothing. I found it very funny to see that she didn’t even try doing anything and continued to sleep."
