Robert Irwin has followed so closely in his father's footsteps that sometimes the similarities between the two are incredibly marked.
Earlier in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Robert delighted fans by sharing a picture of himself with his "isloation buddy" - a massive tortoise!
Taking to social media, Robert shared a picture of him and the creature.

Needless to say, plenty of social media users gushed over the epic photo.
One person wrote: "oh to be robert irwin living his best life with a tortoise."
Another added: "So sick of the seriousness that comes with working in the ER. Here's a smile for us all. Thanks Irwin Family!!"

Now, he has shared an altogether more dramatic video. Per 7News, the clip is almost identical to one of Robert's father, Steve Irwin, from decades earlier.
Robert shared the clip of himself being bitten by a carpet snake as it suddenly whips up towards him, along with a strikingly similar clip involving his father.

“Are you going to be grumpy or are you going to be nice?” Robert asks the snake in the clip.
“It’s alright, you’re going to go back home. There you go buddy...there’s a good snake.
“Aren’t they just the coolest? I love carpet pythons. That is a good size carpet python. That’s so cool. I gotta tell you, when I first found this guy..."
It's at this point that the snake suddenly bursts towards his face.
"Wait for it ? After a snake rescue with this cheeky carpet python while filming for ‘Crikey! It’s the Irwins’ it brought back fun memories of a very similar situation that happened decades before in one of the original crocodile hunter documentaries!
"Maybe it was her way of saying ‘thanks’ for being rescued!" Irwin captioned the clip on Instagram, which also featured a side-by-side of himself and his father sporting similar wounds from the snake bites.
