After being taken to her new forever home amid lockdown, an excitable corgi puppy has made an unexpected but lifelong friend in a very patient cat after spending every day together.
The three-month-old corgi named Lucy was introduced to Gilbert, a three-year-old ragdoll cat, three weeks ago at her new home in Chicago, Illinois.
Check out Lucy and Gilbert's heartwarming antics in the video below:Their owner, 34-year-old Adam Kopley explained: "Gilbert, grew up roughhousing with a dog. As soon as Lucy came home, he watched her for like 30 minutes. Since then, they’ve been playing nonstop."
Now, Adam has been spending his days recording the odd couple's antics in an effort to bring some joy to those isolating at home.
In fact, in every clip, Gilbert proves he's got the patience of a saint, as the excitable Lucy can be seen climbing all over him - including one hilarious clip showing Lucy dragging around a disinterested Gilbert by his tail.

"We got our work from home orders on March 10th and I anticipated being home for a while. I thought this was a great opportunity to get Lucy housebroken."

"We’re all hanging out nonstop together. It’s the only thing keeping me sane right now," Adam said.
